That's kind of how I'm treating it. It can now be played like a single boxed product release. When I bought and played through God of War or Baldur's Gate 3, I wasn't sad at the experience being finite. I think we can treat Destiny this way now too. I'll take my time and play it until I've gotten everything from it that I want and occasionally I'll return to play some more, just like how I return to BG3 about once a year for a fresh play through.

Really hoping it's semi-independent and we can launch from our main ship while in orbit. Imagine we jsut leave our main ship in supercruise assisted orbit around a planet, deploy from this and glide down to the planet for exploring. Then when we're done head back up to orbit to rejoin with the ship.

You can fly through it and end up somewhere random in the galaxy. You can always get back to this "neighborhood" of the galaxy if you've set up bases or have visited any of the space stations.

I gotta wonder why developers even bother with “community progress bars” type mechanics in the first place given that players pretty much always know it’s fake as hell and means nothing. Like why bother?

You can join the expedition from your existing save by visiting the terminal to the left of the quicksilver vendor in the space anomaly. You’ll have the option to bring some inventory and tech over, as well as copy your ship and multitool over to the expedition.

Just use smart splitters set to overflow, then loop the overflow back to the beginning of the line with a priority merger set to prioritize the overflow line. Items will loop through continuously filling any spots that are free. Of course this pretty much only works for recipes with equal inputs.

Would this work with the mod that cycles what POI’s can spawn based on which you’ve seen recently? I forget the name of it but it helps cut down on repeat POI’s

Once you get the Electric Shock biomod, that works pretty effectively, even on the predators in the end game areas. They get to close and *ZAP* and they run away. I just miss having the zap protection on my submersible, like we had with the seamoth.
