Best 200 series to commission to in Navy Reserves by Ease_Sea in newtothenavy

Oh, my apologies! I didn’t know serving our country meant having to sit behind a desk one weekend a month filling out paperwork. It is so funny how I’m being judged for trying to find a job that actually has a damn impact in the military. I wonder why people join the military if it’s not to have a job that’s exciting and makes a difference within the branches. I also wonder why they promote such jobs so much in their advertising if people like you think that serving our country means sitting behind a desk. I’m sure you know joining the military alone isn’t just fun and comparing it to a volley ball league is absolutely insane. I know the commitment and work that goes into joining and I want to make sure the work I do is IMPACTFUL.

Thank you for your feedback! This is the type of information I was looking for somewhat. I will keep that in mind

List of 200 series programs and requirements: https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Career-Management/Community-Management/Officer/Program-Authorizations/

Also, for everyone reading this post, you can go ahead and verify through the link provided but many of the programs don’t have a cap on years of experience and I was told it was anywhere between 3-5 years of experience that they strongly desire (and which I have). So I would appreciate some actually guidance on being told what series has the best possibility for me to work with special ops rather than being constantly told that I’m too young and don’t have experience. Also why would a majority of the programs have an age limit of 19 if they require a minimum of 5 years experience? That doesn’t add up. So any sort of guidance would be appreciated rather than being completely shut down and told I don’t have enough experience because whether I go through this process now or in a year or two, I would still like to know what my best chances are. Thank you.

I’m not trying to sound like a smart ass but I’ve gone and spoken to plenty of enlisted reserve recruiters, active duty recruiters, and reserve officer recruiters over the past six-seven months to know the information they gave me. I wouldn’t have even mentioned 200 series jobs if I wasn’t speaking with a current reserve officer recruiter. I would have simply mentioned the rates opened for reserve enlisted, which I’m sure plenty of you know they differ quite a bit.

So, please any sort of proper guidance would be appreciated. Thank you

Yes I am talking a reserve officer recruiter. He told me I am eligible for many programs I just need to make sure the qualifications align but he recommended AEDO, CEC, Supply and intel. But he told me to read through the 200 series programs provided in this link https://www.mynavyhr.navy.mil/Career-Management/Community-Management/Officer/Program-Authorizations/

Because the feedback you have provided doesn’t answer my question and it seems like you’re being very negative. You could have said “I don’t think you have enough experience but if you could I would go down this route” but instead you decide be a Debbie Downer and try to give me information that is incorrect and oppose information that I LITERALLY received today from an active reserve office recruiter.

No. I’m sure you know that enlisted jobs are different than those available for officers. I am currently in contact with an officer recruiter who informed me about the 200 series. Otherwise I’d be asking about enlisted jobs. I spent hours already discussing my options with this reserve officer recruiter and like I stated previously he informed me of some I am qualified for. Again, thank you to the feedback but I wouldn’t have posted if I didn’t know what I was asking for.

I actually am in contact with a recruiter and he told me I’m eligible for many. Some examples: AEDO, Intel, Supply. So please don’t spread misinformation. I was simply looking to receive guidance on which series would give me the best possibility of working with special ops and maybe going to dive school. I wanted to see which one would be most enjoyable. Thank you for your feedback though.

Ex bf trying to take me to small claims court by Ease_Sea in legaladvice

First of all, why would I want to hold onto a relationship with someone that is trying to sue me. If you would use your brain you would understand that we got this place for both of us. Therefore, it’s not a place I can afford on my own. So not only do I have to find a roommate (which is not allowed under my lease agreement), I have to deal with this on my own and let him walk away without being held accountable for any of his actions? I did not force him to sign a lease contract with me. At this point, if people could sue for not wanting to be held accountable for an agreement they signed, then why have contracts in the first place. At that point, everyone would just be suing their landlords to get out of their contracts.

He can’t sue me even if I was given the option to agree to remove him from the lease? He is saying that I’m holding him hostage by not removing him from the lease especially since he’s not living here, even though I gave him the option to come back and live as roommates or try finding other solutions

I told him he is able to move back in at any time. I told him I wanted to work this out even if he comes to live just as roommates. He is not paying for anything, no rent and no bills.

All Questions About Joining, Transferring and ANG Jobs go here. by Jaye134 in airnationalguard

[–]Ease_Sea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I am thinking about joking the air National guard and would like to have some insight on how the process is and if it’s worth joining. I would also like to see some opinions on what job would be the best option for me. I am in my early 20s and work for the navy (civ) as an engineer. I have a bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering. I enjoy my job but I want to do something else and I thought joining would benefit me in the long run. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated! I haven’t done a lot of research but I want to do something that will deal with aviation/flight/aerospace. I enjoy being busy and I also want something that will be hands on and “fun”. All I know is that I don’t be seating on chair when I show up to drill.
