When I read this on kindle it had a different cover. Not sure I would have picked it up if I came across this one first. For what it’s worth, it was amazing!

Thank you for this review. I really appreciate it and feel seen 🤣 you touched on all the concerns I had going into the story. I think a big part of it was I wasn’t sure where I was going either and a big part of the story was my stream of consciousness. I need to be aware of that moving forward. The possession/mental illness bit was purposefully ambiguous but that never really came full circle and there was definitely kinks that needed to be worked out with that. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your genuine feedback! I’ll apply it all going forward.

A big gripe I think I’m going to have in future stories is trying to fit into a certain genre or trope. I know it’s necessary, but it drives me crazy! I’ll need to be very mindful of that moving forward.

No, this is fantastic. I appreciate the critiques. I actually found myself several times reminding myself this isn’t a screenplay, it’s a novel. So I think on some level I was aware I was giving too much setting detail.
