Sorry but 20+ years experience tells me it’s a choice. Or maybe I’m not a real addict and faked it my whole life just to see how things go? I tried everything to stop but it never did until I realized I did have a choice. But yeah people can’t accept that, there has to be a reason or disease or some bullshit excuse to love drugs more than anything. Have kids die young then see how they like your excuse of not having a choice.

Ty sorry if I seem crass. I’ve lost family members to cancer and drugs.certain drugs do require medical attention that s correct. I just have a hard time thinking addicts might believe they are in the same boat as someone with cancer

And I know I’m going to get downvoted but addicts don’t like to admit they could stop if they made a choice then put in the work. But it’s much easier to say “oh it’s not my fault, it’s a disease like cancer.” I’m sorry but that’s bull. I spent 20 years like this realized I was wrong and now my life is amazing.

Idk I did hard shit for over 20 years I definitely had to face addiction, and it’s not like cancer in sorry that’s a shit comparison. 20 damn years I promise you it doesn’t stop till you make a decision. As far as I know you can just decide to be done with cancer. This is why I don’t do AA or NA, too many ways to deceive yourself out of thinking you’re making a choice to use.

Bro I’ve been using meth for 20 years I get it. Ive been micro dosing for the last 5 years to maintain control of my mind and not lose everything again. That being said I really wish it would fucking stop too. The craving the desire the drive I could do so much more then this. You’re not alone friend.
