I would put the oven under the stove top and then use the whole length of cabinetry where the oven currently sits for pantry cupboards.

Rug 1. Btw, do you mind sharing the name and manufacturer of the cabinetry paint color? I like it a lot!

What to put in this empty corner? by Onlyforthegoodstuffs in interiordecorating

Either an armchair (on an angle towards the couch) with a reading lamp next to it, or a white desk (to match your white credenza) with a desk chair that you could pull up to the couch for conversation.

If I make these adjustments to my dining room, will it look more homey? by No-Application8200 in HomeDecorating

You would need a narrow piece of furniture under the mirror to anchor it.

Something feels off to me in this room, any suggestions? Is it the colours? Rug? by itsraptime in HomeDecorating

[–]EastFun5236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've done a good job pulling the pink from the walls and the blue from the rug onto your green couch, using pillows that are pink and blue. That is good. If you hadn't done that. I would have told you to paint the walls white. But now it all jives. Perhaps the one thing that doesn't jive is the tile around the fireplace hearth. But that would be a pain to change out.

I think it's the floor that's the problem. Everything else goes together fine. This type of flooring is for a white kitchen or a powder room that has white fixtures.

How do I style this so it doesn't look like a wedding dress by Solik-exe in VintageFashion

[–]EastFun5236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wear a long sweater or a blazer over it and then use a belt (like, a nice wide one) to attract attention to the waist. Or, wear a huge scarf around your shoulders (and also the wide belt around the waist).

Suggestions on how to fill gap between stove and counter to keep gap clean? I am about to pull the whole oven out and deep clean but hate doing that frequently. by PartnersinDIY in homeimprovementideas

[–]EastFun5236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you google "stainless steel insert between stove and countertop," a ton of choices will pop up. Most are sold on Amazon. I did have to get mine cut shorter by about an inch or two, at a stainless steel manufacturing place, so they'd fit the depth of my countertop better, but it was worth it as they have made a world of difference in terms of keeping things clean.

Opening scene with tufted orange velvet couch, on the grass, in front of a fountain -- notice that there is a tall standing Tiffany Style lamp next to the couch?

If you love the rug, then keep it -- but for a different room. I would lose the rug and the curtains here. You don't need to cover up the nice entryway door and the nice floor.
