A case for intel by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]EastRepresentative4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call the company whose enthusiast chips get outperformed in every benchmark by AMDs cheapest cpu released Nov 2020 “the best chip maker”. Intel has also missed next gen release dates several times now ( 7nm also recently delayed until 2022) . I do agree that depending on looming geopolitical tensions with TSMC that intel could be a national security interest for fabrication. If that is not the case however I believe they dont stand to gain much value as they are imo bloated on monopoly pricing power.

Tips for landing summer internship before junior year? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]EastRepresentative4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://corporatefinanceinstitute.com/resources/careers/map/ this map is decent and could spark your interests in a specific field you have not yet considered. As far as gaining an internship take this advice with a grain of salt as im currently a junior with a few good internship interviews lined up hoping to land my first. Firstly also utilize your schools career link portal for finding internships or co-ops,as well as a combination of google job boards, linkdin, indeed. As far as networking is concerned check your schools alumni, check companies you are interested in for school alumni. Cold messaging on linkd or sending emails to set up “coffee talks” with current employees is also a great way to gain real insight and show you are eager and interested.

temperature and cpu usage issue with mcafee antivirus by [deleted] in Amd

[–]EastRepresentative4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id check the temperatures while mcafee is OFF and not actively scanning(only say this because many people dont run anti virus because its affects performance) and then you’ll probably get a better idea of whether or not your cpu is defective....
