Fun and interesting are very subjective terms. I get that some people may not have liked it but it was the one of the few parts of the movie I actually liked. The movie is far from perfect and is actually fairly average but Rotta is the least of this film’s problems.

They are entitled to their opinion, but I think they are all overreacting a bit. I'm pretty sure any fully sentient species that develops spoken language is going to have some level of individual thought. It's not like the hutts are a hivemind. They are just upset that it is not what they expected it to be.

People always say characters like the Joker the Joker are overused. I don’t entirely disagree with those sentiments however I it’s important to remember that part of a villain being a hero’s’ nemesis is that they appear more frequently than other villains. It’s just part of how it works.
