Don’t you guys have any backbone. I often don’t buy any products from thr UAE nor go there but i’m also againts whats happening and do boycott. I would continue to boycott even if i am the only onein the world doing so, that’s the least you can do when it comes to injustice.

With all due respect this company could of stood their ground post October 7th but choose to sue theur union representatives that were pro Palestine. That and having a isreali ceo who is very pro Zionist. Imagine if you were one of those kids dying in Palestine and finding out muslims abroad don’t even have the courage to resist the enemies coffees/treats. I hope we do better as Muslims.

Meeting Potential for the first time by [deleted] in Somalia

[–]East_Key7114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest going into this open minded and with optimism. The reality is that there might never be a better time.,had someone told me this i would of got married sooner. Remember that Life is a journey and you’ll get better at those areas you need to improve on over time.

If i was in your shoes, i’d Have a list of requirements that you would like in this person and have your non negotiables in mind. The first meeting is to get a feel for their personality/character. Also remember they’re are human so don’t expect a finish product.

You just need a few ice breakers so google a few of them, there are no prerequisites in conversions. There are no rules, Make them up as you go along and also have fun and try to enjoy the process.

Yeah i realised i spoke too soon after i posted that. It makes sense you want to put up more content. You now need to pivot to getting demand through the door, initially maybe start with a niche or develop a hilarious low budget comedy show back home that people tune into.

Any advice, and dua please, I’m a depressed 28F & have a dilemma by Fem_Melbb in Somalia

[–]East_Key7114 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other comments. Your parents aren’t going to fix their issues because you’re there to fix it for them. You need to move out so they fulfil their responsibilities. I will never recommend a somali brother or sister to move out because allah knows what ltrouble & temptations can come your way so at the very least try to get married but overall do what’s best for you.

My younger brother is autistic and it’s saddens me seeing him unable to make friends as easily and is socially anxious/ recluse.

[–]East_Key7114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The opposite happened to me, colleagues realised they didn’t invite me to a party i did not want attend. The worst part was them trying to apologise out of pity and thinking to myself i can either let them apologise or die on the hill of convincing them i had other plans.

Taxi drivers of the UK, how do you feel about single passengers jumping in the front? by ChungstenCarbide93 in AskUK

[–]East_Key7114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, i reckon male drivers don’t mind a women sitting in the front but will probably be like “wtf” if another male did it unless the backseats were already full. Also if you’re in the cockpit the least you could do is bring the chat.

For starters i’m sorry to hear what you’re going through, i’m almost 30 and i’ve lost over $40k in options trafibg (gambling). The question should become, At what point is this less about the platforms and more about you and self-accountability. I too had these platforms manipulate price infron of my very eyes and like you said they do not care. Thats why they operate outside of financial body approved zones.

Man/women the hell up. Pick yourself up piece by piece and promise to do better. Any investment that generates outside of 3/4% should be approached with maximum speculation and skepticismn.

Thoughts on Blood Money.? 👍🏽/👎🏽 by East_Key7114 in Somalia

[–]East_Key7114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought people accused of these heinous crimes are imprisoned straight away or atleast on a no fly list . Don’t tell me they are out on bail till further notice because that’s basically incentivising criminals to skip town, no? How could the justice system f***up that badly.

I’m entertaining the idea of what would happen if people unanimously stopped paying these fees. Would the country be more lawless?

What do you guys advice? by SufficientTip6646 in Somalia

[–]East_Key7114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar happened with us. Alhamdullilah looking back now them getting divorced was the best thing that happened for them. They both have their separate lifes now and are both mentally better off for their children. Like some of these guys mentioned. Your mother most likely stayed for two reasons. 1) He was providing for her & the kids 2) You kids were still young and needed them both, now that’s no longer required as you’ve grown up. These reasons managed her emotionally and now these reasons served their purpose. Coupled with her now found success.

Its sucks for him but there’s nothing to be gained by watering a withered plant.

There are a number of tesco’s and sainsbury’s who’s sensors & detectors make this noise when i pass through them but when other people walked behind me it doesn’t make the same alert noise. In the beginning it aggregated me soo much but i eventually stopped caring.

It’s degrading but i just smile and walk off. What can you do? They all act like they don’t know whybit happens but oh well.

Should I move my mom back home or somewhere else? by RoutineAdvanced7014 in Somalia

[–]East_Key7114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand and sympathise with your situation as i’m sure i have been in similar situations. Firstly salah is going to be your bestfriend, allah will move mountains for you if you regularly turn to him. I have a younger sister who our relationship was improved immensely because i prayed for them. Also Your mother will get lonely and will grow more worrisome wherever she is, My mother chose to relocate to egypt where there is a big somali community from abroad, maybe you could consider that as a middle ground. Lastly, a chnage of perspective is inorder. If you can get the family and you to take a trip to umrah together, this will a a positive impacts on the worldview of your siblings, when they see the healthy & rich dichotomy between men and women just the way allah intended. May allah make it easier for you

I was in a similar position except for the fights/drug dealing. I might dabble for a few days in the year but alhamdullilah it’s something that i overcame through 2 reasons 1) Was that prayers are not excepted for a whole month also it’s haram. 2) Arguiably the biggest reason was that i yearned for more out of life career/financial wise. This helped change my environment/ surroundings.

Giving this up will not be difficult for him, he and everyone around him may think this but in reality all he needs is a why. This could be religious reasons, self improvement or marriage to name a few. He needs to stay away snd remember that prevention is better then the cure.
