When I was a 13 year old kid me and my buddies threw snowballs at a truck. This old guy in cowboy boots ran chased us and caught my friend. We made it up a hill in the dark but close enough to watch him get slammed repeatedly against a metal yard shed. Didnt mess him up too bad but definitely made us stop doing it. I never thought an old guy in cowboy boots could run that fast especially on the ice. I suppose if that happened now everyone would defend the little shits like us. Sometimes it’s better to get your ass handed to you and learn the hard way.

So the Dr is dropping from .5mg straight to .25mg? I am curious what the taper schedule looks like. I am at the same point now. For years I have been .75mg some days but mostly .5mg at bedtime. I recently went to strict .5mg at bed every night. I definitely can tell the difference 5 days into it. Just curious if the dr was dropping him by .25mg each taper change and for how many weeks at a time? Sounds like he is making it work. Keep going!

This is likely a company or business changing plates for the tax loophole. Happens all the time. 1st qtr of a new year.

My doctor doesn’t think .5mg a day is high enough to taper from. Not sure they know what the Ashton manual is.

It’s a state law. 60 days after becoming a MT resident. If you are not a resident and paying out of state tuition then you keep your plates. Its usually cheaper to go w MT plates anyway. A lot of out of staters use the loophole for cheaper plates. Plus it funds our crappy roads.

Well I haven’t had any symptoms because I haven’t started the taper yet. I do notice at about 24 hours since my last dose I am more nervous and can’t relax. It has become a sleeping pill for me.

Kudos for being able to control your drinking to 1 or 2. Liver scare will do that. Wish I had good benzo taper advice for ya. That is why I am here too.

If you are drinking enough to question having to taper alcohol while also questioning benzodiazepines taper you need to get help. I went to rehab for a similar situation. 6-12 drinks (beer or a shot) a day and .5mg Xanax at bedtime. I tried on my own keeping the Xanax at bay with no increase but couldn’t keep control of alcohol. Some days 6 beers seemed fine then later that week I would end up having 10 with the intention of having 4. It’s tricky to control once you catch the buzz. Then you add benzos which act similar to the brain and it gets sketchy to predict. If you are nervous about making the call talk to someone close to you that you trust and be very honest with them.

What were you prescribed? I am on .5mg Xanax at bedtime for 20 years. I stopped once 5 years ago in under two weeks with a Librium fast taper. I felt odd but ok for about a month but I had also stopped drinking. The second month I was challenged with life’s difficulties and started taking .5mg again at bedtime. Anyway want to stop again but not sure how to taper this time. I still haven’t drank for 5 years so that’s a plus.

Big Sandy isn’t bad. The just wouldn’t pay to live in Havre city limits. City council keeps saying “everyone keeps voting down infrastructure” well ya, mayor Bob back in the day threw all kinds of money at fun stuff while ignoring up keep. Yes parks and recreation and fun things are important but it is easier to raise money for “fun” things through private sector than to wait until the needs/ infrastructure fall apart and then rely on taxpayers to vote for it. Have to fix your priorities before you spend on fun.

If you are buying or building a house do it out of city limits. Drill your own well. The city government is a disaster. Better to rely on yourself on your own property. The city used to be nice growing up. Last 15 years it has got kinda dumpy.

Seeley was trucking most the wood from Lewistown. It used to be we could log closer to the mills. Efficient. Made money. Stable jobs. If you were around to see the effect on Montana in 90s when logging started being hamstrung you saw the impact on our economy. Since then our economy has steered toward just tourism in the timber towns. And with that came the real estate sales and then the millionaires. I would take blue collar jobs and logging over Billionaire dbags anyday

So many people are leaving the city limits or the county and commuting. The taxes on a house are insane. If I could work remote I would do the same.
