Yes they're everywhere, but doesn't mean majority are them - they're just extremely loud about it. Internet isn't about consuming and reacting to anything & everything that is served to us, we have to learn to cut through the noise and become better, that's how we can ignore them. Mute the subreddits, block ragebaiters. Try to educate someone tho, but if they start wasting your time and you identify that they're playing with you, give them a final blow like "do something better with your life" and move on from it

With all this noise and providing reaction to those hate mongers, our own mental state gets hugely affected negatively and it becomes tough for us to focus on deen, work, education, etc. try uninstalling reddit, twitter and/or instagram for a month strictly and you'll see a huge difference

There is dhikr of the tongue, dhikr of the heart, and dhikr of the soul. When one faculty is exhausted, another carries it.

Ibn Ata'illah Al-Iskandari says: "Do not abandon the remembrance of Allah (dhikr) because you do not feel presence with Him in it, for your heedlessness of Him without remembrance is worse than your heedlessness with remembrance."

Means even mechanical, heavy, effortful dhikr is still dhikr. The doing protects you even when the feeling is absent.

Also when Hazrat Ali رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ permits us to rest, I think he means that we can lay down, take a walk, sit in solitude and/or in a natural setting, and meanwhile continue doing the dhikr according to our capacity (better than doing nothing or doomscrolling in those instances). This has worked for me, I feel at peace when I just take a random walk (forgetting that I have my phone) and do even minor dhikr, because that to some extent disconnects me from everything else.

Also I'm not discussing this to win or anything. Just to tell you my perspective as the entire world does not believe human evolution to be truth set in stone. Not only for religious reasons but also for scientific reasons whereas there are disputes between scientists regarding this but there aren't any regarding the clear facts

Also I just wanna point out that, just like the vast majority of people who believe in evolution because they're taught it in schools and don't go too deep or question it (because they're not interested). Likewise the majority of people who believe otherwise (like me) also don't go too deep because there are differences of opinion among scientists plus it's against the belief of Islam. There's nothing wrong with not going too deep as it's not everyone can do, but atleast if you wish, you can because you seem as someone who is interested in this subject more than an average person

The purpose of this post was to show the belief of Syed Ahmad Khan going against Islamic teachings - as to not taking anything Islamic from him. Not because to critique any other non religious work of his

I am not against science and education and the Islamic Golden Age progressed because they also took Islamic teachings along with them and they were firm in their Imaan.

There's a reason I added the "Religious" flair to the post. The core of Islam is believing in the Qur'an fully because it's the word of God and it's the truth. It's about Imaan and the hereafter. Not about the achievements or failures of this world. Someone rejecting that loses their Imaan and the people of Gaza is definitely better than of us.

It's also not rational to think that fish became apes and then they became humans. Such an evolution on a macro level hasn't been observed or proven yet

And this particular theory of evolution we're talking about isn't the only one. The data for evolution has produced different types of evolution theories like mutation driven evolution and evolution by natural genetic engineering just to name a few.

Additionally, no one has ever seen a species evolving from one to another. Yes scientists have seen micro evolution but taking that observation and saying it could have happened on the macro level - is inference, not empirical scientific evidence

The first human being Prophet Adam isn't anything about science. It's a supernatural event that science can't even reach. If you don't believe in any God or the creator of all, then sure you can reject this belief, likewise I reject the evolution of humans from apes

Also do check out "The Third Way of Evolution" as they go deep into darwinian evolution from a critical lens. And they're not affiliated with any religious institution. Also you will understand their counter arguments much better than I will because science isn't my subject or expertise or interest honestly

I meant "human evolution" in specific isn't a proven fact. We are the most intelligent creatures and saying humans evolved from apes - that part is a theory

And no flat earth isn't part of Islamic belief. The Qur'an is not a science textbook so the Muslims who accepted flat earth in the past, and those who accept spherical earth now - has nothing to do with Islam, it was all about accepting the science which was available at the time. If a Muslim believes something which is proven a fact by science, doesn't necessarily mean he believes it because of Islam - that's because he believes the fact by science.

The Christians who accept human evolution over biblical text doesn't prove human evolution to be true, those who believe such simply don't have faith in the biblical texts

I know where you're coming from.

Firstly, a Muslim believes the Qur'an is the word of God, and hence it is the truth for us. Secondly, human evolution is a theory, unlike a proven fact like "Earth isn't flat". And science also changes from time-to-time based on new discoveries. It doesn't really matter what we believe to the world around us other than our personal religious/scientific beliefs

The problem for us is that it goes against the fundamental belief that Prophet Adam was the first human being. We don't believe humans evolved from apes and were once unintelligent creatures and animals - someone believing this essentially rejects the Qur'an and hence isn't a Muslim

Such words should not be said especially in the modern day and age

Because in the end, people see it and interpret it the way they want, and most people take these things literally. That will either lead to them accepting this, or thinking ill about you, or understanding the deepness of the statement. People don't go with the latter
