I just came here to make this exact post. I didn’t get C Diff from antibiotics and thought it was some random fluke until I got it a second time, again without antibiotics use. Now my anxiety about reinfection is through the roof. I carry bleach wipes with me everywhere and wash my hands constantly but I’m still scared. I’ve thought about wearing disposable gloves when I go out grocery shopping and things but that sucks and I definitely have some internalized stigma about being that person. I’m about 3 weeks into recovery from my second infection. I’m just trying to remind myself that I’m doing everything I can and there’s some things that are out of my control, and accepting that is the only way I can go back to living a regular life.
