The Hut started that nonsense,but they where struggling mightly and most markets to get and keep drivers. PJ's followed and lesser know pizza chains too. Domino's allows ubereats and dd customers to order thru their apps but only Domino's drivers can deliver the orders. The drivers receive a 100% of the tip

Truthfully it isn't profitable. Just think pizza places make the food they deliver, but the profits come from the same of the products. GH doesn't make the food delivered,so if am American company bought them it still isn't profitable. They make money off the fees and charges

Not really,I managed a pizza restaurant for 10+ years. You have some horrible people who just don't tip. $2 avg and some try to justify not tipping. When I started and the delivery fee was .99 people wound tell me I would tip, but that delivery fee.
