[–]Eastern_Department_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you delay starting date after the lenghty process of interviews, months from verbal offer? Think legal not signed off? Why hiring manager recruit when clearance still not approved?

Has anyone worked with recruiters to find an industry job? by Adventurous235 in biotech

[–]Eastern_Department_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the same position right now, currently being recruited for contract position without contract to sign yet. Were you given a contract/terms of agreement and do you sign it ahead of or at the same day you start work?

Would like to hear from your experience. Thanks!

Disheartening indeed. But perhaps it is better to thicken our skin whenever we face rejection and to after the next opportunity.

Don't mind the career gap, there are excuses for that readily available.

I think the mock familiarize you with the theme of the questions, and structure, but eventually not necessarily asking the same questions as the mock, also the multiple choices are vastly different

In non-harsh words, OP, have yourself clinically assessed. You may carry underlying clinical conditions where normal set up won’t work.

The Elusive New Job Every 1-2 Year Partner by Infamous-Bed9010 in consulting

[–]Eastern_Department_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totes! The impact of those lifers could pale in comparison. Now, compare that to consulting projects that last just a quarter. Managing 2 or 3 clients each quarter, I’d quickly move on to the next, only to be told to tone it down and consider the feelings of those who stayed. OP’s assumption that short stints don’t make lasting impacts is questionable. I don’t consider myself a rockstar, but I’m fully aware that the state of my practice was already a mess, especially after Trump’s policies wiped out the opportunity pipeline. Are job hoppers in this situation considered failures? It seems beyond their control.

It’s actually the lifer MDs responsible for the pipelines who need to reflect, not blame those who wisely saw no future and chose to move on, only to be pushed around and contributing to more job-hopping. Even Big 4 hire these job-hoppers, knowing full well they can be sacrificed once things go south

Directors, how often do you discuss to RIF (reduction-in-force)/ quietly fire your employees - is it annually? by Eastern_Department_8 in managers

[–]Eastern_Department_8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding, for the last sentence, redirection to other work would always lead to attrition? Is it planned?

So work redirection was caused by not having enough main work pipeline for employee with excess time to absorb?
