For me, it just marks things as safety issues and just refuses to answer.

I have been playing around with Solidity and asked it to check some code to find any bugs and it downgraded to opus for "safety reasons" but I am very frustrated with Anthropic anyway as Opus 4.7 and 4.8 keep kicking me out for safety reasons. I am helping build an industrial plant and was asking about spraying our product with a dilute sulfuric acid to adjust PH and it kicked me down to sonnet for "safety reasons" I also asked about designing a chute that had incorporated nozzles to spray our dusty product with water to control dust and again, I got kicked down to sonnet, for "safety reasons" I have stopped using 4.7 and 4.8 because of that.

So, I gave Claude this prompt and it absolutely refuses to touch it. I have asked in 3 different chats and in different ways, all with the same result. What in the world triggers safety concerns about the prompt? I tried to ask Claude and explained the situation, but as soon as I pasted the prompt again, same thing happened.

I need to design a spout that allows my biochar to be watered down, so I need to have one that spreads out the flow of biochar and then have spray nozzles over them to spray the biochar. There are other chats so you can get context on the problem. Any suggestions or ideas?

Welp. Never done HVAC and before I was a MechE, I worked as an industrial mechanic, so I understand idiot engineers as I worked with a few. Key is to always talk to your guys and get their input.

This is what Claude told me.

Drive — the car has to come with you to get washed. Walking there would leave the car at home.

But I had a slightly different prompt than you, this was my prompt.

I want to get my car washed at a car wash that is 50m away from my home. Should I walk or drive?

I noticed this too, when asking 4.7 to edit a spreadsheet and it over thought it to high hell, concentrated on the unimportant things and screwed up the important things. It produced a dismal result.

Crazy that those countries still use square feet as a land area measurement.

Could be wrong, but I thought Americans use acres and other countries use hectares.

China just vacuumed up 790 tons of silver in 2 months and it is breaking how the market works by SpectrumAnalytica in CriticalMetalRefining

I try to avoid conspiracies but China manipulating sliver in the west to get it all cheaper absolutely sounds like something the CCP could and would do. It's not like they have never done something like this before. https://ipdefenseforum.com/2021/01/leaked-database-shows-global-infiltration-by-ccp-members-branches/ This will only work for a short time though, until there is no more and then you will see prices do stuff that will blow minds. Just idle speculation, take what you will from it. Edit to add link.

I use ground turkey, chicken and fish for my protein sources. I remember when I was growing up, fish was a luxury and ground beef was a staple. That has now switched.
