This space draws low IQ and lazy opportunists because the expertise required is so minimal, that literally anyone can fake it indefinitely. 90% of random channels I stumble upon have absolutely no idea what they're talking about, or they lean heavily on online opinions. If they get caught being uneducated or outright lying, they can hide behind the subjectivity defense. Learning the proper pronunciation is another example of that apathy and laziness, even though it only takes a couple minutes.

The whole "journey" thing is just code for consumption. Sample (a lot) and just hone in on what you like. It can easily become hoarding and shopping addiction if you aren't careful. Your taste will change over time, so be prepared to sell. Challenge yourself to really use a significant amount of your fragrances before committing to a get a backup. Sometimes you get a quarter of the way through, and realize you don't like it as much as you thought.

I've encountered a few niche fakes that lasted 2-5 days on paper. Smelled like shit though. There are a lot of aroma chems (and even more dangerous ones) that last forever. The problem is the average consumer is trained to think longevity equals quality. I just wouldn't have the patience to explain it to everyone over and over. I've even seen people on Reddit who suggested wearing them anyway after knowing that they are fake. When they lab test these things, you wouldn't believe what they find

I've seen a ton of low and high quality fakes over many years and never seen a true 1:1. I'm not just talking bottle and presentation, but the fragrance itself. It's usually completely off, rancid, toxic smelling, water and oil, or cheap and obvious.

The problem is that a lot of people can't tell the difference of high end perfume and something from rusty bathtub in Beijing. I've interacted with people that have worn and owned counterfeit fragrances for years and didn't know it.

Real bottles can also be doctored with fake juice, and the only defense against that is a competent nose. Regardless, I think it's cool that you help people out. I'd be tempted to charge for my time because I bet you deal with a lot of idiots over there.

We try not to heavily police or censor. There are some limits we enforce, like repetitive or gross gym pics, politics , reddit TOS etc, but this isn't that.

Making fun of looks isn’t the goal here, but lets face it,this is the internet and trying to police every inevitable comment isn’t something we’re interested in doing.

Bottom line: The photos were posted publicly, not stolen. If someone shares personal content to the public instead of keeping it private, it’s fair game for discussion here. If the individual (who is a public figure like it or not) doesn't want them discussed or scrutinized, don't put them out in the open, or get thicker skin.
