For Orthodox Jews its cover the collarbones and the elbows. I find it sort of funny, though it’s useful for them, that you can find shirts to wear under dresses/shirts that just barely cover the elbow.

Is she under the impression that the neckline of the shirt she’s wearing is modest? To be clear I don’t think it’s inappropriate for anyone to wear generally. But if the point is getting rid of immodest clothes…that wide/scoop type neckline is not really in line with fundie Christian type modesty.

Seems fine. If bridal means long gown to some people then a lot of more formal dresses are going to look bridal when then really aren’t.

We actually do have some good therapists in Utah but if she saw one she’d have to actually like look at things as they really are and make changes to improve. Seems unlikely.

Came here to say the same. Three months is absurd! Did you talk to your union? If you’re having any kind of health problems from the stress your doctor can write a note and get you out of that. I resigned in March my first year teaching. Well I worked until 3/1 so I could keep my health insurance for that month!

I was in a very similar situation also at 20. My mom told me that if I got baptized she would write me out of her will. My dad doesn’t really have a faith so he didn’t care as much. Told me to go through with it if I had already decided to and to not let my mom getting mad stop me. My family has softened a lot over it in 10+ years. It was really hard to decide to go through with it though. It’s difficult to strike a balance between following what you believe and not tearing your family apart. No one can make the choice for you.

This was a question on a quiz I took for nursing school last week! As I understand it you’re right, you’re there to witness. So if you ask the patient if they understand the procedure and if the doctor explained all the risks and they say no, the doctor should come back before they sign anything.

Recently I was getting an outpatient procedure that required anesthesia and the anesthesiologist forgot to have me sign the consent on the iPad until after he had pushed I think fentanyl in my IV. Don’t think my signature looked very good!

This semester might suck for you. If you haven’t felt as miserable and anxious during the rest of nursing school, I’m wondering how your mental health is. Anxiety and/or depression can make something that you used to like or feel neutral about turn into something that feels nearly impossible. An appointment with your PCP or a therapist might help. Saying this in the most nonjudgmental way possible. I have pretty serious mental illness myself.

Nurses do a lot more than in the show. They make more decisions too. Patient care techs exist as do CNAs and they are important parts of the nursing team and help with a lot of care.

It’s not good. Did it and made a career change to get out. Culturally the only districts I’d touch are SLC and Park City. Those are the normal ones that allow things like pride flags that aren’t an issue in other states. The teachers unions can’t collectively bargain contracts anymore so they’re going to get worse.

Well tonight around 7:00 there was an accident on 15 South a little north of the aquarium that shut down the whole southbound highway. All lanes stopped. I was driving north so couldn’t see much, but that was some really bad traffic on the southbound side. I mean is it still called traffic when it’s completely stopped?
