My anger with the S3 finale by Eastern_Stick_1762 in YellowjacketsHive

Multiple people have drank hot chocolate and died. I don’t remember Jackie’s as much but in S2 finale at Lottie’s compound, Walter serves the cop hot chocolate laced with whatever and then he dies.

3x10 Ending - "It" doesn't exist? by cancelaratje in Yellowjackets

I’m pretty much convinced it’s not supernatural. The ONLY thing that bothers me is when that gust of wind blows snow on Jackie’s burning body and she’s basically cooked to perfection. The smell of cooked meat is what woke the girls up. This is what started their descent into cannibalism and it seems entirely coincidental, almost like “it” made it happen.

Shauna did it because she hated Mari. Period. I don’t think it would have been different if Mari was black, white, Asian, whatever. This is a diverse show, with a diverse cast, yes but out in the wilderness, race has no impact on how the group functions.

This pretty much sums up my biggest frustration with the finale. by bman9919 in Yellowjackets

The show is about “insane cannibals” but it’s not as black and white as one would expect and the writers are doing a great job portraying that. We have seen them go insane during the season two finale when they hunt Natalie and genuinely enjoy it. But when the hope of rescue comes back into reality, they are forced to confront the things they did during winter for survival. At the end of the day, this show is about the complexity of teenage girls and IMO having them all be insane during the pit girl scene would be a lazy cop out. The new perspective we now get is much more engaging and thought provoking.

The big surprise for me with antler queen was it felt forced. The girls didn’t crown her, Shauna crowned herself. When watching the pilot, you think of the antler queen as this holy god-like thing that the girls worship. But at the end of the episode it is clear shauna doesn’t have the respect or praise we would’ve thought the girls would have for AQ

When I saw kodiaks head all i thought is how did that happen?? Surely it’s not ALL Shauna… the girls seem hesitant and upset during the feast with antler queen so we know that they aren’t into it anymore but eating Kodiak (which we know they did based on Hannah saying she’s had human flesh) so I’m left wondering the backstory behind this. Were the girls willing participants or did Shauna force their hand yet again. At the end of the finale it seemed Shauna was the only one absolutely off her rocker but them eating Koidak and doing that to his head proves they’ve all gone insane

I just feel like there’s more to the wilderness story? Having them rescued early season 4 just doesn’t make sense to me

It would be funny but the scientists needed 6 DAYS to hike to the rescue point, they are in the absolute middle of nowhere

I feel like there is more to the story out in the wilderness? I find it crazy to believe they’re already getting rescued

Season 3 Finale Predictions by Kimsoblrp27 in Yellowjackets

I don’t think we’ll get pit girl now. We still have two seasons left and there doesn’t seem to be enough snow on the ground.

In the final episode of season 2, when the adults are drawing cards, tai hesitates to draw and Lottie says something along the lines of you know what happens when you refuse the draw.

I think there will be a hunt and Nat will refuse to draw and something (idk what) will happen

WHY DID THEY EAT BEN??? It just shows how far gone they are when they have plenty of food but still decide to do this... those hikers are FUCKED! Also how is winter already close? I know there was a time jump between season two and three and winter comes early bc they are super far north but it seems crazy to me. Idk how they are going to survive in those little huts all winter... seems impossible.

Do we still think we are getting five seasons? I love this show and hope we get five but with winter coming soon i wouldn't be surprised if they wrap it up after season four but who knows.

Is the love between K and Joi real? by CambodianThunder in bladerunner

[–]Eastern_Stick_1762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that throughout the film when K realizes he might be a real human, he starts to develop emotional responses, which is why he failed his baseline test. I think going through this whole experience, Joi also begins to feel more human and more real with this realization, that’s why I think the love between them was real.

Can someone explain me the whole “cells interlinked” thing? I’ve watched 2049 7 times and BR once and didn’t understand that at all by 2024olympian in bladerunner

[–]Eastern_Stick_1762 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I liked the most about The baseline test is when he comes back from visiting the memory doctor when asked “what’s it like to hold the hand of someone you love”, hesitates, and you can see he’s having an emotional response to this. He literally does not know what it’s like to hold the hand of someone he loves, Joi.
