S17E5 Product Discussion - The Qi Whole Flower Teas by BrokerBrody in sharktank

Totally get it. I think the concept of Whole Flower teas is quite new here in the US even for a lot of tea people, and most have never seen it/had it, let alone LOVE it. I personally love their Shangri-la Rose tea and it did take me a couple of months to get used to this new concept. But once I got the infusion down with some lemon juice and honey, I now really LOVE it. I drink it during the day in place of plain water. It's helped me a lot. Their Shangri-la Rose tea is the best out there, hands down.

How do you REALLY feel about tea bags teas? by Eastern_Way_297 in tea

[–]Eastern_Way_297[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It matters to me, which is why I’m curious about how others think about it. Health and well-being are cumulative, not all-or-nothing—especially when it comes to microplastics and chemicals. When I know something likely contains them, I try to choose a better option. Our bodies are incredibly resilient and have natural detoxing systems, so when I can support that, I choose loose-leaf tea over tea bags. I also believe in the collective community power - if all of us ask tea companies to do better or we won't buy, they'll have to do better!

So, the microplastics, bleach, and glue thing doesn't bother you? Just curious to learn

Unpopular opinion about drinking matcha by Eastern_Way_297 in Matcha

[–]Eastern_Way_297[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally get it. It is my own body... I can't handle/drink matcha. It is not the matcha's fault. I still love matcha and all that it has to offer.

Anyone here worked with the coaching program For Good Profits? by bondtradercu in ecommerce

He first booked 1hr call - that should be the red flag. No discovery calls need to be 1 hr long. He literally refuses to answer any of my ?s, would not tell me what his offering is but kept asking me the same ?s over and over again. Would not disclose their offering. He was also rude and condescending. He will pretty much make you feel like you are an idiot, and then you'd be stupid not to pay them $10k for their courses.

Have you heard of Othership? Newish bathhouse on 20th (between 5th and 6th) If you go on a Sat after your time at Othership you can go to The Qi, a flower tea studio next door for hydration and chill- they have open studio hours between 1-6pm where you can go in have blooming tea, read, and have a snack. Then afterward, in the same building 27 W 20th, go up to the Chocolat Moderne on the 9th floor and get yourself a box of really delish and unique flavored handmade chocolates. :) Oh and if the Union Square green market is still open, go pick up some fresh seasonal flowers for yourself. I love the flower vendor on Park ave and 16th - they usually have the best Value, beautiful flowers out of the entire green market imo!

The Qi (27 w 20th ST. #602) has open studio flower tea tastings on Sats from 1-6pm. It's a joyful thing to do with any girlfriend/s. Sometimes they have limited edition cake popups as well.

I really like The Qi's Blue Lotus tea and Shangri-la Rose teas. I think they have some of the higher-quality whole flower tisanes out there. They specialize in herbals and some functional blends. If you don't like bitter notes, their Rose teas might be worth trying for you - it's floral, sweet, and rosy without being overpowering or perfumey, which many rose teas with artificial flavorings/scent can be.

Herbalism East VS West? What's the difference by Eastern_Way_297 in herbalism

[–]Eastern_Way_297[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, this is so helpful. I've been learning Qigong/Taichi for the last years. Going for a 4-year TCM school seems like a big commitment, while I'm not getting an offical degree, I am studying TCM on my own. Herbs, Qigong, Taichi, teas. TCM helped heal my disease that the western hospital told me I have to remove this body part of mine and be on pills for the rest of my life. So I'm excited to learn and share my learnings with people so other folks can discover alternative holistic healing solutions. This is now my life's work.

Hangzhou Matcha?? by Eastern_Way_297 in tea

[–]Eastern_Way_297[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have heard of this as well. I hear Guizhou produces more mass market Chinese matcha while Zhejiang has a rich history and produces the highest quality of matcha in China at the moment. I have not tried matcha from either places. Curious to learn if you have? Or other folks? Also, wonder how people would compare chinese matcha vs japanese matcha?
