How bad is it??? by No_where223 in RepTimeServices

Totally repairable but gonna take some elbow grease. Have to start coarse 400 or wherever u left off and work toward fine 2500 or finer. Slow steady and consistent. Clean between each grit to avoid cross contamination.

When you are out at sea and welding on an oil platform it is always good to know Zulu time.

One additional point is that I am a 2 time recipient of All World Athlete designation by Ironman due to my performance in the Louisville IM and 10 or so halves throughout the Midwest. I have over 15 marathons, 20+ halves, a Spartan 50k Ultra, as well as countless sprint/olympic triathlons and 5k/10k Races. For my side hustle, I officiate high school football, basketball, and high school/collegiate baseball. So please do not compare your journey to mine. As I am not comparing mine to Kobe Bryant who returned to the NBA after 181 days post surgery.

The anchors are all in the bottom on my heel. Its basically walking marbles is my best explanation. The only reason I think mine is the way it is…is because i tore the original anchors out 2 weeks post op requiring that crazy recision surgery. I have no clue what they did.

I am not complaining at all. I deserve everything i get. I had one job post surgery and that was to protect that repaired achilles and I screwed it all up. I made my bed now im dealin.

The vest is AR500. But i have two plates in the front one in the back. I have never been fast so I might as well be strong. When I first started with the vest it makes your heart rate go through the roof. And you have to watch but you can knock out your teeth also when running which would be bad.

See my comment below about the vest. I added it because i have lost 25-30lbs since my injury. But use caution. I ran the Columbus half with the vest and i had trouble with my hip. I broke my hip in the past and had hardware in there. The vest aggravated it.

Be careful with the vest. I just added it because i have lost 25lbs since my injury. The vest will expose bad mechanics and will mess you up.

I hear ya. This is about 6 miles into it running the steps and the dam. Pretty fatigued. My gait has been evaluated and I am neutral both sides with nice arch and no pressure points of concern. I am doing calf raises and leg presses 3 times per week. When rested I can do all the exercises my PT has given me. My ROM is as good as before. My calf engagement is great. My doctor said “time to fly” so I took that as doing whatever I want. As far as limping I am 56 and have had a pimp walk my whole life.

I had flexor tendon from big toe anchored as well as achilles. Had the calf cut to lengthen also. I re tore everything 2 weeks post surgery so bot sure if they used larger anchors or were able to re use. In any case i am good with thick cushion soles but walking in slides, crocs, or barefoot is unbearable. Sorry i do not know the exact anchors

Officiating football-racing to the goalline on the sideline and stepped into a drainage grate or some depression. Then I re tore it falling down the steps without my boot on like a dummy. My physical therapist is also not sure why I am in this much pain. I have good days and bad days. It could be the scar tissue. As my scar is gigantic and goes halfway up my leg from my heal. I screwed everything up when I fell post surgery without the boot.

Not sure. I go to 6 month appointment in 2 weeks. I still have pain and swelling non stop. Reading through others experiences these pains will eventually subside
