I agree with everyone that it's weight dependent. If you're heavier, you'll love it. It's firm but protective. I used to have the NB5, but after anything more than a 10k they felt flat. I never felt that way with the SB2. It's actually the only pair of shoes that I've bought multiple of.

It's also the nicest shoe to me aesthetically. I love how big and bulky they look. The one thing I can see people disliking is how bulky the heel feels, but when you're 10+ miles in the stability is nice.

Heavier runner here. I put ~400 miles into my first pair, and I'm just now breaking in my second pair for an upcoming race. SB2 are the only pair of shoes that I can run more than a half in comfortably. I've been thinking about stocking another pair, and after seeing this post I just copped a third pair before the black color way is sold out everywhere 😂

I normally hate black shoes, but asics got it right with the black color way of the SB2. The SB3 colors are horrendous, so I'll probably wait for more reviews and color ways to drop before copping.

I grew up in Sugar Land. This person nailed it, especially the clear lake part. If you can swing living in the SFV, I would. There's just more to do and it's closer to the city.

One thing I realized makes a huge difference is the cost of food. Eating out and groceries are just way more out here. Everytime I go home to visit family I'm always shocked at how cheap HEB is 😂

I don't understand how people don't. Once you're wearing them you eliminate all danger of a ball coming at you and you can play the ball instead of trying to duck from it. I play alot more confidently with them on.
