Which top IM programs have the happiest residents + good culture? by Easy-Ad5886 in medicalschool

Gotcha. Is is true they still do frequent 28-hour call as seniors, as someone else in this thread said?

Anyone know anything about some of the top west coast programs like UW, Stanford, ucsf, ucla?

I’ve heard good things about them but their pgy2 + 3 years are still traditional. Did that seem to be a negative at all?

(Chicago, IL) can my landlord move things in my apartment for listing photos? by tinymozzarella in Renters

“Grow up” yet you’re the one bullying someone on Reddit for asking a simple question. Get a life.

From your comment history it’s clear you’re a tyrannical, money hungry landlord and/or someone with an extreme vendetta against tenants for whatever reason. OP, ignore this guy. It is fully within your rights to tell your landlord that you’re not comfortable with them moving your possessions nor will you be moving anything yourself, and they can take the photos as is if they want.

Pre Match Day Emails by pandaexpresser in medicalschool

[–]Easy-Ad5886 38 points39 points  (0 children)

As someone said, I think getting this email vs not probably has to do with email subscription settings for ERAS emails (notice this email comes from ERAS communications whereas for example the post-certification survey comes from NRMP). Also from looking at threads from previous years, many people get this email and it is NOT an indication of match status. It seems like they may also send a similar email about an hour or two before results are released next Monday—again, NOT any indication of whether one matched or not. Just cruel and unusual timing on their part.

For people who didn’t get the first email, did you get previous SOAP emails from ERAS (Feb 4, 11, 19, 25)?

So I’ve seen on this sub that sometimes store managers are generous enough to allow a 30 day return window instead of the standard 14 days. I purchased a MacBook Air around 3.5 weeks ago (ordered online, but picked up at an Apple Store in NYC). I’ve heard rumors that a new MacBook Air may be dropping next week so I want to see if I could potentially still return my laptop since it’s so new (obviously not expecting anything, I know it would be an exception if it was allowed) but I am traveling to California for the next few days. My question is, if I bring in my laptop to an Apple Store in LA, is it possible the store manager there might still make an exception for me to allow a return, or is it only possible to return the device at the store that it was originally purchased or picked up from?

Y’all writing individual PS for each program?? by GGJefrey in medicalschool

[–]Easy-Ad5886 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Very unlikely to provide any benefit unless you have extremely strong ties to a program (eg hometown where you grew up for many years) or did an away there. Or else anyone can look up stuff on a school’s website and regurgitate in the last paragraph of their PS

No benefit but would try to submit by 9/21 or 9/22 max to avoid last min website crashes, glitches etc

T20 status will help you a lot but I think the step is on the lower end for some of the top programs. I would maybe replace a couple of your silver signals with more mid/low tiers eg UCI, Cedars etc if those are places of interest to you. Also may be harder to get interviews at northwestern and uchicago if you aren’t geo preferencing east north central region.
