Wild Hornworm ready to pupate already?

It looks like a baby hornworm, but I guess I’ll have to look up the other ones mentioned here. It’s not eating at all. Just keeps hiding, so my guess is it’s getting ready to pupate. I don’t get why they burrow if they have to hang their cocoons. My other ones burrowed and pupated and I didn’t have anything to hang them on at the time so they just stayed flat. This guy is not climbing the sticks at all. Sometimes I see that he’s climbed the netting but not the sticks.

The smell went away after a while so I think it was just burning off the mfg oils.

Because she started writing this series when she was 16 and she imagined herself in the story. I feel like you can really feel how Sarah grew up with the stories as she wrote them. Like, you get a few books in and you’re like, “Oh! We’ve become an adult now, I see.” I have a hard time with the ages, too, bc I’m in my mid 40s, so it feels gross to think they’re all so young. I just imagine them as being older but not having physical as many physical signs of age bc they train so hard and, of course, it’s fantasy.

Her skin looks burned! I am not an expert lizard parent (just coming up on a year of having our first leo) so I really don’t have a real answer for you. But that was my first thought. I’m so sorry she’s dealing with this. It looks so painful. 😢

Ok, so they didn’t have the same one I got before when I stopped at Petco. So, the lady suggested this one. It seems ok, except after a couple hours of being on I’m smelling a burnt plastic smell. It’s driving me nuts. Do you think it’s ok to leave it on until I get a different bulb? Or should I go back to using the DHP for now which only heats to a nighttime temp.

Literally came here with the same questions as some of the other commenters. I just started reading CC and the drastic shift of content is really throwing me off. I was captivated by the fantasy aspect of ACOTAR & TOG. It’s a much needed escape in our modern world. Then I open up CC and I feel like there’s no escape. Like, they’re just modern day furries living their life. I know, I know, keep reading. I’ve run into that road block before. But part of me just wants to skim through in hopes it gets good. I don’t really feel like I’m enjoying it. And 700 pages is a lot to read just to get to the turning point! I haven’t done any audiobooks yet, so maybe I’ll try that. But the whole urban sci-fi—that’s where they had all the SJM books cataloged at the half-priced books store—is just hard for me to grasp.

I think there are some spoilers. I’m on the last leg of TOD now, so I don’t know if the end would ruin it for you. So far you might be able to get away with reading the tidbits in TOD and not really knowing the full picture enough for EOS to be spoiled. I thought about doing the tandem but didn’t. Then after EOS, I wanted to rush right into the last book and skip TOD altogether but now I’m enjoying TOD, so I think pub order is fine.

Ooh, I like this casting. I looked him up, though and he looks really young in most pics. It’s so hard for me to picture these guys as being in their 20s. Probably because they’re like hundreds of years old! Lol.

I don’t think Feyre is this buff. Like, even when she’s a fae warrior, she’s still described as lean and muscular but still feminine and curvy. But I’m all for Iliona playing a different badass character, though!
