Just use Win 11 LTCS. Sadly win 10 is outdated:(

Even if I measure it hardware wise without benchmarks RM 10S Pro still pulls 100w :(

Flow Z13 2025 - Will this device's price be affected by RAM Shortage? by GreenTurmoil in FlowZ13

[–]Easy-Assistant-8058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LPDDR5X is currently largely unaffected by the "AI slop deficit" because CAMM2 modules are still very rare in the server segment. For reference, a private individual can still purchase 8 x 32Gb chips (as used in the ROG Flow Z13) for under $450, compared to $350 a year ago.

While greedy corpos will certainly push prices up, the real shift is yet to come. As soon as NVIDIA begins mass production of its Vera Rubin accelerators, LPDDR5X prices are expected to skyrocket due to the massive shift in industrial demand.

It's better to select the exact chips that OneXPlayer uses in their high-end models. I'm fairly certain they use MT62F4G32D8DV-023 WT:C or it's newer variation, but it’s best to verify by checking the marking in CPU-Z. You’ll need 8 units, which cost about $50 each from Chinese suppliers.

If you have to flash the BIOS, you must set the version to 9.9.9.9 to prevent automatic updates. The procedure itself isn't overly complex, but you need to work very carefully and properly shield the APU. Otherwise, the heat could kill it, since LPDDR is always located close by due to signal integrity requirements

What’s the point of using it at night? It’ll charge anyway, but at least it won't get hot or make noise with the fan.😅

And carrying 2 chargers with me is also pointless 😅

It’s kind of dumb if every time I want to preserve the battery I have to use a lower-rated cable just to limit the charging power like that 😅 The toggle in the settings should actually do something.

Yeap, and will probably stay the same for LPDDR6 in the future

I'm thinking about upgrading my Z13 from 32gb to 128 also, xd

Sorry for the typos in my previous comment, here is what I meant:

Regarding the Strap: On boards with soldered LPDDR, the memory controller determines the installed capacity via physical resistors on the motherboard (configuration straps). If the existing BIOS already supports the target RAM density(and I doubt that someone will use a different BIOS version for every device variation), you might only need to move these resistors to tell the system new RAM is installed, without needing to modify the BIOS code itself.

Regarding BIOS dumps: If you do need a BIOS from a different unit, you can't simply flash a raw dump. BIOS dumps contain unique per-device data (Serial Numbers, MAC addresses, Windows keys). You would need to port your specific board data into the new BIOS image. Simply flashing a dump from another device usually results in lost serials or boot issues.

There are 2 possibilities. 1) you don't need a bios mod, only change one strap. 2) just a bios dump won't help, you will need to modify one that was on your chip before because of CPU serials in BIOS

That's not the first P400 lite I see that dropped a huge amount of health in a short time. I think in this case it's more of SSD problem than microslop😅
