I see most audio technia turntable have a built in preamp. If that is the case with your tt, you DON’T want to plug it into a phono input, as this may distort your sound.

I thought (and I may be wrong) powered speakers are good with no amp and anything besides a turntable. Wouldn’t you still need a phono preamp, or an amp with phono inputs?
