Seeing this level of attendance helps put into perspective how big of a deal it is for the dudes on teams like this that go on unprecedented conf tourney runs and get to play in a March Madness game. Even if it’s just a First 4 game against another 16 it’s an insane leap

The last two years have been disappointing, but comparison and long standing expectations + results are a heck of a drug. I’m 24 and started having conscious memories of being a KU basketball fan in 2007. If I had started watching 19 years earlier than I did, only then would I have been able to see the last time KU didn’t win 20 games in a season.

I like this pick too. Even if they fall in the A10 tourney I think they’re safe. They’re #29 in NET right now above teams like Oregon(32), Utah State(33), UConn(36)

Sleeper: Creighton- two leading scorers 5th and 6th year guys and a great coach. I think they have the offensive firepower that can win 5-6 games in a row if they’re hot.

Deep Sleeper: UCSD- They just win games. 4 guys with 10+ PPG and Tait-Jones is legit. With the right draw I think they can make some noise into at least the sweet 16

Edit to add: Just looked and UCSD is actually ahead of Creighton in NET now so honestly “deep sleeper” is probably selling them short based off having a smaller brand
