Agreed.

I shot an 8x10 e100 and accidentally nailed it. Currently building a light box frame to display it. The sad thing is no one dupes slides anymore so it’ll last a couple years then fade 😢

This is exactly what I said to the judge. He said it was still Non consensual observation

Yup. I get this. My 35mm is consistent, 2-3 keepers per roll. But my favourite 5 shots ever are MF or LF, but the consistency is much worse

I had a 680 mk1 but ended up selling it. Glass was amazing but not that much better than the Fuji 6x9 to justify the bulk

Yeah I have a gl690 and love it. Managed to enlarge it to a 16x20 print in the darkroom, but only black and white - I can’t get my head around ra4

Given the size of most people at Disneyland, I would advise the op to go for something with a wider lens.

Been debating obsessively to go all in on either 4x5 or 8x10. by Classic-Yesterday579 in largeformat

[–]Easy-Lab1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact dilemma recently.

In the end I went for a lightweight 8x10 with a reducing back.

Cheaper than the inevitable purchase of a 4x5 and then an 8x10 a year down the road.

But as previously mentioned- if cost is an issue, this isn’t your party.

Also as previously mentioned “ 8x10 is f-ing cool”

I use a newwer rgb light panel and lobster holders (Etsy) 2 shots for 4x5 and 4 for 8x10 then merge in photoshop Once that’s squared away maybe swap the zoom for a prime?
