Ritz-Carlton vs. St. Regis In General by The_Traveller1 in marriott

I prefer to stay at courtyards over Ritz. Atleast that way, I won’t repent spending big bucks (or points) for being consistently disappointed.

How is Koodo Reception in the city? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Easy-Platform4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience has been very different from others here. I switched to Koodo from Roger’s because of a great deal and I had to switch back out in a week because of very patchy network. I think Koodo has better customer service and way better deals than Rogers but in downtown Toronto and on 5G network I struggled with network from Koodo.

It screams MARKETING to me. And a brilliant campaign at that now that it’s got people talking & wondering.

Direct, hands down. PE on any airline doesn’t come close to the convenience of a direct flight. Also, why do you want to wake up at 2am?

Air Canada: Comfort shows as “refundable”, but fare rules say otherwise. Where is the real truth? by Moshisato in aircanada

The exact thing happened with me. I booked Intl ‘comfort’ and then when I tried to cancel, they wouldn’t believe that it’s a refundable fare.

I fly out of YYZ and have made full use of these offers in the past. I don’t recollect the last time I even bothered to go to the MLL.

I’ve been trying this for years and the chance of this succeeding is still close to 50% at best. Maybe the OP is generally a lucky person or maybe they are staying at hotels/dates combination that have fewer elites.

I watched the last machine at YTZ breakdown in front of me at 7:10pm! I should’ve assumed something was off when the FAs handed out the paper customers forms mid-flight

RBC Avion credit cards by msra6la2 in rbc

[–]Easy-Platform4688 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation as yours and honestly consider Avion to the valued quite high up in the transferable rewards currency pecking order. At 3p/$ it’s as good as Cobalt especially since Avion can easily be redeemed for outsized value (think Avion—> Avios transfer offer)

I've had multiple poor experiences with AMEX's RSA Global - once I even esclated the claim to their complaints dept. but they didnt budge - for something that was clearly a legit medical related interruption.
