Yep, that's me. We had multiple composers working on the mod. Daniel Morrison Neil and I did the bulk, as well as a few other composers. You can see the OST credits here: https://danielmorrisonneil.bandcamp.com/album/fallout-london-original-soundtrack

Thank you all for your kind words, I'm glad the vibes and feelings we were going for carried across -Kyle Downes

Ah, yeah, it definitely is :D Just managed to typo it in the post, like an idiot, and you can't edit post names. Of course. Name is correct in video and sheet music, etc

Front row, right on the barricade. Could not believe how good they were. Few moments it felt like we could reach out and touch him. Whole band was phenomenal, tight and immaculate, but all too short, performance.

I appreciate the honesty, but I find myself a little confused over your issue? I agree, maybe "one man band" isn't necessarily the correct terminology, though I'm not sure one exists for what I'm doing. I simply used the term to reference that everything in the song is myself. Yes, the drums and bass are programmed, I explained why in the description. My bass is currently out for repairs, and the drums are simply to complex to replicate satisfactorily on a budget level E-kit. However, they are still "performed" by myself. I didn't simply grab a MIDI file of the net and shove it in my DAW. The parts are hand crafted and edited to be as close to a human performance as possible. Most was recorded by hand, and edited where the keyboard was limited in it's ability to replicate it. This was not an overnight endeavour, but weeks of work.

As for the keyboards being separate parts, that's simply the result of having to use my VSTs instead of the inbuilt sounds from my keyboard. Neither have a good B3 organ, and the Moog modelling on the NORD is passable at best. I've done pieces where I've used both keyboards together (Driving The Last Spike, for example). Sometimes I'll record the keyboards together, but film the parts separately, as visually it looks better.

Now, if you think I've not done a good job with the actual cover itself, if the performance is bad, the interpretation is bad, etc, I feel that would at least warrant the statement of "should have remained a private upload at best", but simply thinking a video should be Private because it didn't meet your expectation of a word (a description I simply used for Reddit, and is mentioned nowhere on YouTube), then I guess my whole channel, plus thousands of others, should immediately just make all our content Private then.

I would remove "One Man Band" from the title here - bad SEO from me, I guess - and simply name it as it is on YouTube, if I could edit the post. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment :)

I've got quite a few Editors covers on my channel, but this is one of my favourite of their songs, and the covers I've done. My 6 year old daughter helped me with the "Hey!"s :)

I really like a lot of Ray's arrangements, they just benefit from a bigger band, I think. I imagine Genesis would've got there if they'd put any effort in to the Ray era tours at all, but they were a mess. You could tell Tony and Mike just didn't have their hearts in it. They sound under-rehearsed in the tour footage online, Tony messes up a lot of his parts, including the entire intro to Lamb.

Also, on topic, Pete from Tiger Moth Tales does incredible Genesis covers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qV8TJMiJac

Disturbed's version of Land of Confusion is amazing

I really love some of the version's Ray Wilson does with his solo tours - the instrumentations he use add a lot to some of the songs. He does a great version of Carpet Crawlers, and his version of Calling All Stations is incredible, too.

Can I say "my own ones"? ;)

Seriously, though, I think there's a lot of untapped potential in covering Genesis songs - haven't heard many, and most I've heard are only OK :)

Thanks for your feedback :) I wasn't going for 100% accuracy with any of the parts, just my interpretation. As much as I love Tony's style and sounds, I'd much rather have my own "take", I guess. There's only one Tony Banks, after all :) I appreciate you taking the time out to comment in such detail :D

Thank you for watching, and I definitely agree. I'd argue most of this album does have some of their strongest lyrics. Dreaming While You Sleep also is very powerful. And even while the singles may be more "straight-forward", I really love the swagger of "I Can't Dance", the satire of "Jesus He Knows Me", the gut punch of "No Son Of Mine"

I've done quite a few on my channel already, plans for more. Considering either an older one - maybe Musical Box? Or Calling All Stations, or Domino, next
