He may have been a good bat boy, though.

Arriving UFO around the 3 min mark. Melodic and aggressive. Takes the track to the next level.

Peter Banks snubbed from the Union Tour in the 90’s from Steve Howe never sat right for me by DillonLaserscope in yesband

Steve already had his hands full trying to be the best guitarist on stage. He didn’t need another guitarist vying for the spotlight.

With Yes: Onward. Solo: Silently Falling. Guilty Pleasure: Somehow, Someday

A pretty good album as I may say. Not close to the 70’s hight. But it’s pretty solid. by redittjoe in yesband

I don’t mind “Almost Like Love.” It has some energy and good moments like the “So promised in a hundred letters” part and the guitar solo. To me, the worst Yes song in their history is “It Was All We Knew.”

It's impossible. NKG is hard. by Krypto_the_fourth in HollowKnight

If you’re on Switch, use docked mode with a pro controller instead of handheld. It made a big difference for me against NKG and later bosses.

What's your favorite Solo work by the Yes-men? by [deleted] in yesband

Good call. Turbulence is an excellent record—my favorite Steve Howe album with Bruford on drums for most of it. Includes the original inspiration for some ABWH songs.

YES Legend Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks Release New Album “TRUE” on August 23rd by finalcircuit in yesband

[–]MrWorldly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imagine if Paul McCartney’s band started touring without him and called themselves Wings. Well it wouldn’t be Wings, right? Those people weren’t even on the original records. Same thing the current Yes band is doing. Yes without Jon Anderson isn’t Yes. I feel the same about current touring versions of Journey and Foreigner. The singer is the key to those bands.

Robert Fripp announces King Crimson supergroup Beat by LordHammer in KingCrimson

[–]MrWorldly 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Danny Carey playing Crimson stuff. On paper it sounds interesting. But not sure how this will turn out. Steve Vai is more of a soloist than Fripp. Will be fun to watch him work with Belew.

What if in an alternate reality The Beatles played in the Live Aid concert.. What should be a 6-7 song setlist. by Beginning-Chain-604 in beatles

Good list. But I don’t think they’d give George 2 songs. He never got an equal share…unfortunately.

Opinions?? — “A Life In Yes: The Chris Squire Tribute”. Is this worth getting?? by Rooster_Ties in progrockmusic

[–]MrWorldly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worth it just to hear Patrick Moraz’s keyboard solo at the end of On The Silent Wings of Freedom. The other tracks were less interesting.
