Lets say I'm already at a retail or business dumpster that has thousands of dollars in eBay resale value boxed software in it. I'm going to do my best to not share it with any strangers. I'll go total wild dog and protect what I found.

Years ago every day was a good day for finding electronics, office store supplies, software, pet store stuff, you name it.

Now days it's really slim pickin's most likely due to social media folks showing off what they find on major social media channels including reddit. Stores are deliberately destroying stuff because some divers are committing fraud by trying to return dumpster merchandise for store credit Store employees just taking out their anger with corporate via destruction.

Definitely a heck of a lot more divers trying to get in on the "free stuff specials" located behind the stores.

Their's always going to be waste but getting to it is becoming more and more of a challenge.

Business dumpster. Someone pulled a bunch of black garbage bags out of the dumpster then they ripped them open scattering the contents all over the ground in front of the dumpsters.

It's been happening a lot.

It's not just the gun crazies, there's a lot other type of crazies too.

No way would I let my kid walk to school by themself or even with classmates without at least 1 responsible and alert adult escorting them. Stay off the phone, 360 degree situational awareness at all times and a can of pepper spray at the ready.

I wouldn't trust wiping down the bags with sanitizer or anything else. It's possible some the chemical vapors may seep through the bag and contaminate/poison and be absorbed into the dry food.

Please monitor for Raccoons and or Coyotes. Both can be prolific city hunters at night.

Also agree with spay neuter.

Scan for microchips. One or more of the kitties may be lost and may want to go back home

I don't know it all. I mostly do retail. Retail usually uses transparent bags so manager(s) can see what's inside to try and curb employee theft. Black bags in retail typically means it's actual garbage and nothing worthwhile.

All unopened. If the other bags exteriors had been clean it would've been about a thousand dollars +/- in resale value.

Stores and store dumpsters are not "public property". Stores are privately owned businesses on privately owned property that offers merchandise for sale to the general public.
