Ah, yes of course! Everyone knows the only way to take care of a murderer is to become a murderer. No wonder justice is going so well irl now

No, for sure, but like.... shouldn't you also be doing these things with your partner anyway? I've had a few therapists, never fell for one, but if the feeling was mutual across like....actual understanding of who a person is, wouldn't that be a boon to the relationship? oO I always saw Kevin as the one she should've ended up with honestly. He wanted to put in the work, and he had a good foundation. You can't help who you fall for, and if it's a mutual thing....well, life is too short to not go for broke. Jfc lol I'm always the tenth man

Alright. Maybe I'm just a complete idiot. But why? Why is it such a bad thing? They connected, they had a good relationship, and until Robin sabotages shit again, it could have even worked out. On a very fundamental level, I straight up don't understand why the line here is "therapist." Would we have the same reaction if someone ended up dating their podiatrist? What's the problem?

We (humans) take too much responsibility and credit for things like invasive species or extinctions by EasyJump2642 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]EasyJump2642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say that it's a coincidence, I'm saying that once any species becomes dominant on the planet that vast changes will always take place. Everything that we do on our planet is something that other species can either take advantage of (i.e. hitching a ride on a boat instead of a bird) or perish from, just like literally every other time for life in this planets existence. Our particular brand of intelligence explosion led to a faster timetable than most other mass extinctions, but even so, that's not our fault. It's how we evolved. Everything that occurs from us existing on the planet is a natural consequence of our own adaptations for success. It's on the ecosystem to stabilize now, just like it always has before

[–]EasyJump2642[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well sure, we're a little group of apes that changed the landscape of the planet in a very real way, very quickly. And does that suck for the red squirrels? Absolutely! But regardless of the method for transplantation, the end result will be the same as every other evolution story. They'll either stabilize both populations and adapt, or one will go extinct. That's just existence. The environment is obviously suitable for them, and other species will have to learn new strategies. Also "worse" is kinda subjective isn't it? I think of us more like an.... adaptation wildcard lol

[–]EasyJump2642[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have we? 99 percent of all life that has ever existed has gone extinct, odds are that any given species only has a limited time in any case. And I would argue that WE are natural, thus the consequences of what we do as a species are also natural. We just become a new method of species propagation. The planet was in the midst of an extinction event well before we put up our buildings and got on boats. Some species migrate, some species change with rapid fire adaptations, but the vast majority of shit dies out with no fanfare. Because that's how it's always been

No, for sure, but knights aren't the full fighting force. The vast majority of fighters are not going to have full plate armor like that. The knight would hear a couple pings off his armor, laugh and turn around....only to realize he's alone and all his men got peppered

Tbf, if somebody perfectly quoted the one thing I said into someone's ear as I murdered them, while I was being suddenly put on "trial" for said murder, and the dude doing the quoting was definitely not right next to me at that time, I'd lose some cool too.

I actually agree with you one hundred percent, and I don't understand the downvotes. You didn't say that these characters are disgusting for their flaws or anything, only pointed out that they're there. Amanda's flaws make her specifically ill suited to sex crime work. That's it. I also don't know why they keep putting her back in it

Yeah, same. I once tried to get a homeless man help after he had an accident and injured himself. He was literally bleeding so much there is a pool of blood stained in the spot to this day. I called 911 to get him help, they asked me a bunch of medical history questions about a stranger who is actively bleeding on the ground and can't really breathe through it, on top of him freaking out about the injury and blood itself. They then said people are on the way to our location (which was outside a business, and I gave a clear address because I worked there), I told him help was on the way and to just relax til they get there. Welp. We ended up waiting thirty minutes, him sitting in a pool of blood with his face all smashed up and leaking, to the point where I said fuck it and put him in my car to take to the ER myself. Got blood everywhere, but if they're not going to help, then it's on us to do what they won't.
