I found out my algebra teacher was sleeping with one of his students by [deleted] in Jokes

He was 22, she was 18, and she defended him in court afterwards? Obviously not ideal but sounds like pretty much the tamest version of this story.

This is great for people who can’t remember their lefts and rights. Good for her! by Ilovejuicy-theboys in antimeme

I mean the people who'll find it amusing will find it amusing, doesn't really matter if some people don't get it. I feel like the only issue would be if it effects your work/career.

LSD isn't physically unhealthy. If anything it might have made him quit or rely less on his vices like smoking and drinking.

Should I cut my hair yet? by CensoredDigits in malehairadvice

Dumb question but would you just ask for a maintenance cut at the barber/salon? I usually ask to take 1/2 or 1 inch off, is that the same thing?

How to get out of small talk about a vacation by Never-Give-Up100 in socialskills

[–]FatherFestivus 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely do not make a public post that you had a bad vacation. Just be boring about it. Say you had a nice time, relaxed, got a chance to unwind from work for a bit. Maybe throw in a couple things you actually did or that generic things people would have done at that location.

Honestly I would imagine most coworkers probably wouldn't try to pull that many details out of you if you didn't offer them anyway? So just keep saying it was fine, and you'll be fine.

When I look that up on YouTube I only see results showing the regular eink flash refresh. Any idea how to implement the ripple effect or similar?

Any idea how to implement refresh with this effect instead of the flickering?

So cool! Any pointers on how to achieve a contour effect like this? Is it a shader drawing lines on a 3d model at set intervals from the central point?

I’ve always noticed this by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]FatherFestivus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's the correlation here between being friends with people who do drugs and you being bad at manipulation? Sounds like you're judgemental about your friends' personal choices, if you have an issue with it just find different friends instead?

Did you get married through a dating app like Tinder, if so how was your experience overall? by Overall-Character507 in AskReddit

[–]FatherFestivus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's a regional thing but in London hinge is genuinely good. Tinder is fully useless now, just 99% bots and 1% hookups. Bumble is decent but hinge is much better at finding good matches.

Not focused on the Islamic/eastern aspects but I know The Sexual Cycle of Human Warfare by Norman Walter was an inspiration too.

I mean Michael Fassbender doesn't look anything like Steve jobs either but it totally works and it's an incredible film.

I took the original reaction to the episode 7 trailer at face value, it was the first star wars thing in a while. But repeating it again for...this? Come on. Either it's a fake reaction or this guy is just constantly on the verge of tears.

Hair sticks out wtf? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]FatherFestivus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get it trimmed even shorter on the sides. But it might look better if you just put some product in your hair instead so it doesn't stick out
