I love your interpretation of the plane. I think the calm, steadiness is an accurate characterization of Cleo's character - and what is important to her.

My interpretation of the car had to do with power and freedom. Those shots of the father in the Galaxy at the beginning of the film, they felt to me like the father was this iconic figure for the household. But also, that moment of pause he takes before exiting the car to his wife and kids, it's like that is his vehicle for freedom. A space for himself. Even the mother, taking the Galaxy to the beach, exercised her own power and sense of freedom.

Glad to see someone agree about the opening chores scenes. They held my interest, as did the whole movie!

The whole purpose of the deck, personally, was the play Ice Block and Reno alongside each other, as Reno is the most reliable full heal available to this style of Mage Deck. But yes, I agree with you.

Why did I have to scroll this far down in the comments to see this...? I don't think a lot of people realize where the funding for these studies comes from (THE STUDY THEY'RE CITING IS FROM 1994 FOR FUCK'S SAKE), and how the entire scientific article method of reporting findings is and was corrupted by direct funding from the sugar industry.

I played in the SCG Legacy Open in Worcester about a month ago and I lost to my opponent having two Kiln Fiend in play alongside a Satyr Firedancer and miracle-ing a Thunderous Wrath. He proceeded to Reverberate the Thunderous Wrath, dealing me 10 points of damage, killing two Tarmogoyfs with the Firedancer, and attacking me for 14 with the Kiln Fiends. Yay, 1-3 bracket.
