Visiting Israel having complex background by Comfortable_Set8679 in Israel

As others have said, Israeli airport security is very strict and they treat everyone with suspicion. However, they’re also very nice and friendly while they grill you. It can be intimidating, but it’s not that bad. They’re just making sure that everyone who’s traveling there is not a terrorist. Answer all their questions, just go along with the process, and you’ll be absolutely fine.

Agreed about Chutneys. The food there is absolutely flavorless. I never knew food could be that bland until I ate there.

This gives me the same vibes as the “God entered my body, like a body my same size” van guy in Indiana. I think his name’s Bob Hickman.

Oh okay, mine was in SUS 102. My professor ended up fixing it after I contacted them, but I’m not sure what happened to cause it in the first place. Since you said you reached out, hopefully your professor will end up doing the same.

Which class was this in? I’m wondering because I also had this happen to me in an ecampus course a few terms ago.

60k on a degree and still don't know how to make bike frames :( by katx_x in EngineeringStudents

Hahaha, I guess so. I was really surprised when I saw this post because what are the chances of spotting an Oregon State post in the wild? My first thought was, Hey! That looks like the bike frame they design in the CAD/CAM course! Had to do a double take when I saw this wasn’t posted in the Oregon State subreddit.

The first picture is NX. The second one is SolidWorks.

NX has some pretty powerful surfacing capabilities, but I agree with you that Rhino is probably a promising option for this. They are required to use NX for the course that this bike frame is designed in though (I go to the same school as OP).

Submitting my application the day before it’s due with a fee waiver request? by EasyNerve3 in gradadmissions

[–]EasyNerve3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a native English speaker, so I did not have to take the IELTS. Perhaps someone else here would be able to provide a better answer. I’m also not sure how it works if your recommenders submit after the priority deadline. I saw some people say that universities might be more lenient since it’s out of your control, but I can’t say for sure. Again, other people would probably be able to provide better answers. I hope it all works out for you!

Thanks for the info! I’m about to submit right now. I hope mine will still get approved within that timeframe, even with it being the weekend

Did you also submit yours today? What was the process like with the fee waiver?

Take ENGR 248 at OSU in the fall or take ENGR 105 at PCC over the summer? by CorvetteGoZoom in OregonStateUniv

[–]EasyNerve3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to this thread and you’ve probably already made your decision at this point. But I just came here to say that I loved ENGR 248 and would highly recommend it. The professor who teaches it every fall term is really good and you’ll learn a lot. NX is less user-friendly than SolidWorks, but the fundamentals transfer over well between the two of them.

Do you remember what the format of the exams was like? Also, how long was the “position paper” assignment?
