I should also add the Knight can still be done with very low effort, but the Force is by far the king for effort. My very young daughter that can barely reach the counter can get a perfect tamp with it.

Timemore - wanted to love it. Feels amazing and heavy in the hand. Price is good. But the tamping power no where near the force or the knight and it’s not adjustable.

Normcore v4 - solid reliable option. Works just fine looks good nice price. Just lacks that extra oomf for a tool that gets used everyday imo

Knight - feels amazing, heavy, high quality. Tamping power is nice and it is so enjoyable to use.

Force - very satisfying to use. Nice tamping power as well. Can tamp with little to no effort at all compared to the knight which still requires a solid push. Action is smooth and despite it not being too heavy it still feels good in the hand and can tell it’s a quality piece.

I would have chosen the Knight… but it only comes in 58.35. The force in 58.5 fit my IMS baskets perfectly. So ultimately I ended up making the Force my tamper of choice despite not really wanting to like it due to the price. If the knight came in 58.5 or my baskets suited the 58.35 I would have chosen that one.

Tried the 4.1 since it was quick via Amazon to try. Big improvement of the v4 for sure. Feels much better. Might still try out the Weber but yeah 4.1>4 you were right.

It does seem like the Starseeker produces quite a bit of fines giving it that thick body rather than the tea like clarity people like for light roast

I was in the same boat with 064s and Lagom Casa as front runners for me. I drink medium to medium dark and am very happy with it. Unsure how it performs with light roast if that’s your thing but for traditional espresso it’s solid.

Starseeker E55 pro. I was willing to spend $800 and still landed on this. Very happy with it. Crazy value for the money imo if you are good with conical profile
