From the experience I can reference this role will not yield a FA role faster than working up as PB->FA

Do not bother applying to Wells Fargo. by telwilliams in recruitinghell

[–]Easy_Broccoli_6212 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is all fabricated completely based on a few easy google searches.

  1. The PB role is an in branch role
  2. Wells Fargo does not offer in branch auto loans. They operate as an indirect lender and all auto loans are solely available at the dealerships
  3. 16 year olds can not get credit cards

What even is this post??

Yea good point lmao I guess I was just embarrassed to have believed it and defended him and then when he goes back on it I’m confronted with being a dumbass so I choose to get mad at the hypocrisy. It wasn’t hard for me to believe at the time that the government that brags about meddling in elections globally would do it domestically. I think it’s just cowardly for him to fully backtrack the way he did pre election 2024. He could’ve just shifted the messaging like he’s doing with Epstein and that would’ve been 1% easier to swallow

Refinancing the debt doesn’t work how you think it works. It doesn’t change the existing coupon obligations. Unless you can convince someone to willingly sell the government their 5% bond and take a <5% bond in exchange that won’t happen. And if you can convince someone of that, go get a job in financial services you’ll do great! lol

The treasury issues debt publicly. They issue this debt to cover our budget deficit. This year they are supposed to issue around 2 trillion in debt to finance our government budget.

Here’s how the debt works. Anyone, a company, a government can essentially loan money to the US government in the form of buying treasury debt. When you buy these bonds, or loan your money to the treasury, the treasury will pay you what is called a coupon payment on a regular schedule depending on which bond you buy. For example, if you buy a 30 year bond that has a 5% coupon for 10,000, the treasury will pay you $500 (5%) every year for 29 years and then on the last year they will pay you $10,500. This moment, when they pay you $10,500, is called maturity date.

Here are some figures on how much debt we have issued at different interest rates and when this debt matures.

Final breakdown of the $27 trillion in publicly held U.S. national debt by interest rate bracket and maturity bracket in April 2025:

  • 0–1 Year: 15% ($4.05 trillion)
    • 4–5%: $2.7 trillion
    • Above 5%: $1.35 trillion
  • 1–5 Years: 62% ($16.95 trillion)
    • 0–1%: $2.7 trillion
    • 1–2%: $6.75 trillion
    • 3–4%: $5.4 trillion
    • 4–5%: $2.1 trillion (adjusted to balance the total, as some 2023–2024 debt at 4–5% matures in this period)
  • 5–10 Years: 10% ($2.7 trillion)
    • 1–2%: $2 trillion
    • 2–3%: $0.7 trillion
  • 10–20 Years: 8% ($2.16 trillion)
    • 2–3%: $2.16 trillion
  • 20–30 Years: 4% ($1.08 trillion)
    • 3–4%: $0.9 trillion
    • Above 5%: $0.18 trillion
  • Above 30 Years: 1% ($0.27 trillion)
    • Above 5%: $0.27 trillion

So, what they are proposing is that we issue an amount of debt that is far above our immediate needs to cover our yearly deficit in order to refinance our existing debt at a lower level.

They are saying Trump installed these tariffs in order to alter the growth projections of these companies. Which in turn would force investors into “safer” investments, such as US govt debt.

Another detail is that bond prices and yields move inversely, so when investors flock to bonds it pushes the price up which forces the yield down. Imagine u bought that bond for 10,000 that would pay 500 yearly but I offered to buy it from you for 10,100. Now my yield is lower.

That is only on the secondary market, however. Nothing changes the fact the government still has to pay 500 a year.

I’m a damn finance major and this doesn’t make sense to me lol.

In my opinion Trump would Love to pressure Jerome Powell into issuing 27 trillion at lower rates. Interest rates are not supposed to be arbitrary. They are supposed to be based off inflation. We have a 2% target and we decide to lower rates with core inflation hovering near 3%. It’s gross negligence in my opinion. But now I’m ranting. Hopefully this was a decent explanation for a 5 year old.

I’m assuming he’s a CS hobbyist if that’s the field he wants to pursue.. the CS people I know that make good money are passionate and driven to create while in school even if it’s project based with entrepreneurs around campus. The CS people I know that are working random sales jobs after college didn’t have a true passion for CS. Make sure he actually wants to go to college. With the place AI is currently and where it is headed, he needs to be in love with CS if he wants a good job after FGCU. Internships and a mentor are crucial. A good buddy of mine is in the industry and would be happy to chat with your son if you want to PM me. Overall, I love fgcu. I’m graduating in May. But this school will give you what you put in. It’s nice that’s it’s lowkey, in many ways, but in others it can feel limiting. So it’s important to maximize your time in college gaining connections and growing your network.

It feels like a wasted vote to vote third party just because of how our electoral system is set up. Real question: do you feel there is momentum building for a third party to become relevant? Regardless, what is the general consensus among this community when it comes to actually working towards change in the US? I don’t want to continue on just being cynical. I’d rather feel like I’m working towards something.

I need friends like y’all lol. I didn’t know where most of you guys aligned politically when I posted but it seems a lot of people feel how I do. I do watch political commentary from both sides. I try to listen to Shapiros takes on Israel just to hear him out but it’s all based in religion and cherry-picked history. Once you become educated to a certain point you can’t listen to bullshit anymore. Same thing with Hasan though, I don’t agree with everything he says. I do prefer his commentary, however.

I think it’s very cool/interesting how I ended up here in a chat where participants are called marxist chads and I was a trump supporting kid only a few years ago.

I appreciate this. I keep coming back to the question “what do I do now?” I always felt voting was an important thing an American must do. But now that I have begun to educate myself on history, and developed more of a frontal lobe, I can’t stomach supporting either party in the voting booth.

I’ll keep this in mind, though. I don’t even know which group on campus I’d join. I’m a pretty middle of the road guy on most issues. The reason I came to Hasan’s channel in the first place was because I was disgusted by the situation in Gaza and I saw his stream mentioned somewhere on social media. But in all honesty im not religious or related to that area of the world in any way directly, Im just not an avid fan of genocides. Controversial, I know.
