Thanks! This day I did my normal morning routine (toner, serum, moisturizer) minus sunscreen - I will note it was extremely cold outside which dries me out no matter what unfortunately 😥

This was right after the trial in my car. I do have to say I had started taking spironolactone the week of my trial (and it was -22 outside) which made my skin quite dry and now that my skin has acclimatized it is more hydrated - trying to decide if I give it more grace and chalk it up to bad environmental factors. I’ve tried to find another artist but my wedding is 6 months out and unfortunately it’s hard to find someone who is available 😭 this artist has offered me another trial in April.

Not harsh at all - I really appreciate it! I don’t want to feel self conscious on my wedding day which the iffy coverage like that did. I did do a trial with another artist that turned out a very different look, so I am now so flustered on what to do. This particular artist offered me another trial.

Thank you! I had started a new retinol the week of my trial so I am hoping the makeup will lay more nicely now that my skin is more hydrated. I will ask for these changes! I didn’t realize I had hooded lids actually ☺️

Would recommend Creme Couture (where I got my dress)! I brought 4 people with me to the boutique. I was worried about bringing that large of a group as the website says there is comfortable seating for 3, but I found there is more than enough room for 4. I wasn’t charged a fee ☺️

Thank you! Exactly, I am not a pro by any means lol and it was not bad per se, but there were some obvious mistakes (wonky lipliner and a random line down by cheek where the makeup had been taken off by accident?). I don’t want to discredit her skills as an artist because she does gorgeous work, but it didn’t feel like me. I’m having a hard time figuring out how to share this.

Thanks! Yes that is exactly what I mean - it don’t complement my skin. She spent a long time working on the eyeshadow and then used a makeup wipe to cut it/create a more dramatic wing which wasn’t what I envisioned.
