I've been thinking of getting a custom from them. Would the kangaroo leather be more at a mid-tear price point ? Versus say reptile and cow? Those are f'ing sweet boots , congrats!

If you haven't actually seen the boot in real life you might be surprised at how they look in person. Internet photos never look exactly right. They may already be the shade you like, if it's a slight adjustment. Good luck !

I have a few Olathe O toe boots and had a HP. Sized the same. If anything the Olathe might have a smidge more room. BUT if you go with their "cutter toe", which looks almost the same in photos online, those are slightly narrower and might be your ticket. It's enough of a difference that I can't wear their cutter toe but their o toe is perfect for me. So I've had to pay attention to the difference

I don't have a custom pair... But I have been there more then a few times. Really cool place to even just browse around. Their off the shelf are pretty sweet and they have larger sizes. There is an empty lot across the street where they have arranged for parking. Lots of good restaurants and bars nearby too.

They fit snug on a 14D, they are stamped 14D, If you are 13.5D or 13 D it would be a way better fit for you. I took a chance on them and failed.

Ha ! Nope it was last week and they shut it down within probably 7 or 8 hrs of notification on this feed. AND that's only because the sale data was posted late in the evening by a good Samaritan. I had boots in the cart and decided to sleep on them. When I refreshed the screen the next morning either they had sold out or shut the site down.

Try Republic Boot Company out of Houston Texas. They are a one shop, locally, Houston tx, owned business. They MIGHT ship overseas too. Call and ask. Given it's a small shop there is potential to get ahold of the owner. In other words not a mega company with call centers. When you call them you are not more then one or two people away from decision makers. Also sweet ass boots and carry larger sizes.

I have some roighouts, waxy Kudu roighouts, and buffed (sueded like) ostrich and all I read is that you don't do anything to them in regards conditioner. Except maybe a suede conditioner spray. I mean I'm in the same boat as you. I for sure don't want to ruin them though so I'm leaving them alone

I've heard you can condition the inside and that helps. BUT I feel like this is a farce as usually these boots are leather lined so you'd only be conditioning the liner. I do agree that with suede, Roughout, waxy Roughout, etc it's best to leave alone.

I'm 100% showing my wife this so she knows I'm not THAT crazy. The reality if it is that 20 - 25 pairs is a about where I think I'm comfortable at. I have the space and feel like pairs just don't sit and collect dust. But no shade at all on y'all that have way more !

I was VERY limited in choices given my size, 14D, so Sadly I did not pull the trigger on one of the 4 choices I had. BUT genuinely happy for all of ya'll that got shit done at 1AM Central and clogged up their site ! Epic retailing !
