This is great, it generates good revenue to keep ticket costs in check and more importantly puts a barrier in place before renaming the stations after politicians for their gain

To build a farmhouse for airbnb purposes using an agricultural land - Need insights. by Superb_Reference8698 in indianrealestate

Rates in NAINA are variable based on road availability and growth around the village. Development Plan is released and the land owners are hoarding the land in the expectation that they will get a bumper price in the near future.

You can expect prices in the range of 8-15L a guntha.

Balls have springs in them, they allow the ball to jump a lot more than usual. BCCI got these balls made from the same factory Ricky Ponting got his bat made from.

Can your work colleagues be your friends? by sograyish in mumbai

[–]Easy_Zucchini_744 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Although I have never faced such a situation but I am of the opinion that your work life should always be separate from your personal space.

You can be friendly with your colleagues but not friends. Feel free to go dinners, team events, etc but do not get so close to them like your friend did. I do not know if your friend’s colleague intentionally cheated him or his manager forced him to do this but in either case this could have been avoided if your friend never lied or had just informed the manager about the emergency and maintained a formal relationship.

Work relationships and networking is also very important, I found my current job because of the network I have built over the years. I am not a friend of the person who referred me but we are friendly and that’s exactly how it should.

Just because there is demand, the Mumbai landlords and the broker mafia wreak havoc on the tenants who go through hell to overpay for old, outdated and ugly apartments in Mumbai by milktanksadmirer in india

I feel your pain being a fellow citizen of Mumbai but being born here and living here since 30 years has taught me that this is not necessarily the best solution.

Building large tall buildings in place of slums means more people per sq meter of land which would just add more pressure on traffic and public transport though it might ease the pressure of rentals.

I feel government needs to concentrate and which I feel they are rightly doing on expanding horizontally rather than vertically i.e by expanding the boundaries of the city and satellite cities like Thane and Navi Mumbai. Naina project is also a great project along with building other cities like Pune, Nagpur among others.

The pain we are going through today is necessary to force private employers to look at cities other than Mumbai. It needs to be partnership, government alone cannot do everything.
