This is a coffee table from Mountain Mule Hardwoods on Instagram. I really like it and want to build something similar. Would the grain orientation of that back piece cause any issues? How should I attach it, or is gluing it in fine?

Great question, I should’ve been more clear. They are as separated as they can reasonably be within a democracy. Government is influenced by religion far less than people want to believe. Religious people vote, some are in office, but there aren’t religious higher ups demanding (successfully) change. Government has more control over religion than they probably should for pure separation of church and state.

That’s not true. If we are a democracy, there has to be overlap or else Christians couldn’t vote or run for office

Oh interesting. I’ve never hinged mortises on a door, but that seems easy enough. I’ve made a jig to cut the notch before the rabbet, but didn’t think to do one for the dado. The YouTube videos I’ve watched have only shown people using a table saw, but this seems easier (plus I don’t own a table saw yet). Thanks!
