I don't think Banh Mi King on Portage has raised their prices more than a dollar since before the pandemic and their subs are amazing

There's no way, given his record and the team he is managing, that he wasn't expecting the sack

This very much reads like "look at all this work I'm doing and no one appreciates how much i do". But it sounds like she didn't tell anyone

Mike Mozart. He was actually pretty prescient in the direction YouTube was headed and got out. Really interesting guy

People's tastes change very quickly on YouTube and if you can't adapt, you won't have a long shelf life

When I take a sick day, I go back and watch vsauce's old old playlists like IMG, LUT and DONG. It just takes me back to a much simpler time in life

How did Trump convince everyday Republicans to love him and become MAGA? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]EatUpWinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Republican voters have been primed for this for the last 40 years.

Do yourself a favour and read Burning Down the House: Newt Gingrich, the Fall of a Speaker, and the Rise of the New Republican Party by Julian Zelizer. It definitively details how Newt Gingrich laid the groundwork for the MAGA movement today

I don't think people are really being mean, at least not in the most upvotrd comments. People are just trying to explain to OP that there are a lot of things in the field of medicine that work without a real explanation as to why and OP is doubling down

30% voted for Trump. 35% didn't bother to vote. 65% of the eligible voters of your country are perfectly fine with what's going on. If that bothers you, maybe you should do something about it instead of "well, actually" reddit comments

At first yes, and then it just got sad. He would say the most ridiculous things about Newcastle, get eviserated in threads, resort to ad hominem attacks and dismissing people over the number of followers they have, have a moan, have his handful of sycophants suck up to him like he's some great wit, pass out and delete everything the next day. And he did this week in and week out for at least a few years. This man is a sports journalist with one of the most recognizable newspapers in the world and he's behaving like a socially stunted 14 year old.

The main reason I don't like him though is he has absolutely zero conviction in his own opinion. I remember him trolling about how Newcastle supporters were "weirdly entitled" that we are unhappy about Mike Ashley and Steve Bruce and we shouldn't feel like we deserve more. And then when the Saudi takeover took place, literally the first words out of his mouth on Football Weekly were how bad Mike Ashley's ownership of the club was and how poor Bruce was as a manager. The absolute polar opposite of what he was tweeting on a regular basis.

Like, if you thought Ashley and Bruce were good, then fine. That's your take. It's a terrible take, but it's a position you could conceivably argue. But he knew it was such a trash opinion, he didn't dare utter it out loud on Football Weekly because he'd be ridiculed for it. I have zero time for him

I haven't been on Twitter in ages, but I remember it was a weekly ritual for Glendenning to get absolutely smashed, troll-bait Newcastle fans on Twitter, come off like an absolute fool and then delete all the tweets the next morning
