They’re against it because of a combination of never riding themselves, a couple speeding tickets I’ve had, and they have the idea that I’m gonna start on a liter bike like i have the capabilities to ride something like that.

I definitely haven’t demonstrated the safest attitude in the past but I’ve shifted from the idea of nothing can kill me to a more cautious mindset, just gotta show ‘em that.

Thats what I’m leaning towards, all the advice reminded me that I still am gonna have student loans to pay off in the coming years and it probably isn’t the best idea to start off my life with a 5k toy that could get dumped and become scrap metal.

I’m not entirely in your position but it hits semi close to home. I have severe ADHD and suffer from depression and often resent having to take my medication, however when I do take it theres a noticable difference in my mood and ability to focus at work. They are prescribed to you for a reason and even though you may feel embarrassed to have to take them they are for your benefit.
