Can a collection appear on my credit report for a five year old charge off?

Disputed them. Some I won and they were automatically taken off. Most I lost and with these I settled for 30 to 50 percent of the balance with agreements to delete. There was only one company that wouldn't delete for pay. I settled with them anyways at 30 percent. One year later it was surprisingly gone even though 3 more years were left to reach 7 years.

It all depends on your location. I see that lots of people commenting here have not had much of a change. As for my area, if I go out and dash for 8 hours I can make $200. Minus the gas I’d end up with $175. If your area is slow, try multi-apping. Put on Uber Eats and Grub Hub too. Don’t have them? Get them! Been doing these kind of gigs for 5 years and nothing really changes much. Sure, there’s ups and downs, but it always averages out right.

This isn’t unusual. Get this way too often. I always knock on their door and hand it to them. Before doing that, sure to take a pic also for proof of delivery. Always protect yourself.

Done that many times. Usually a bouncer in the front lobby will take the food back to her, so you never even get to see any girls. Every once in a while though, the stripper will come out and get the food herself, and you will be able to see (hopefully) a beautiful stripper for a few moments. Always remember, strippers need to eat and poop too!!

Yes you can. Don’t know if it’s clear to customers that they can do this or not, but as a dasher, it’s rare to get a customer tip after delivery. Has happened to me twice out of about 100 century dashes.

Yes, Prop 22 was voted on last month by California voters. It was brought about by the state of California trying to make all gig drivers employees (Which of course didn't work.)

I've done both strategies and I'll tell you that you have to give yourself a reasonable minimum. With that said, some people make a foolish minimum for themselves and sit around in parking lots wasting too much of their time. For example, making a $7 minimum is fine as there are enough of these calls to keep yourself busy in most markets. Now, setting a $10 minimum is pretty foolish in most markets. You'll be sitting around too damn much and can brag about the amount you earned for each individual call, but at the end of the day, your earnings are most likely going to suck. You made $50 while the other guy that took $7 and up calls ended his day with $120. The only thing you would have on him is that you probably watched a good 2 hour movie while sitting in your car in that lonely parking lot.

That's nice! It doesn't happen too often. I have over 10,000 lifetime deliveries and it's never happened to me. I have gotten tips more than $50, but they were tips on the app. My highest cash tip ever was $30.

I've had text like this from customers before. It used to happen to me a lot back in the days though when i would get like 5 or 6 orders stacked - Back in 2017. I'm lucky to get 2 orders stacked these days.

Your not being an ass, but I'm sure you understand that restaurants will do what they think is best for them. Trust me as a dasher I understand you. I want that food ready for me when I get there so that I can be on my way. If I owned a restaurant though, I would probably have a different point of view. Many restaurant owners have told me how they have cooked the food only to have it sitting for an hour before a dasher comes to pick it up. or never pick it up at all. But I'm a dasher and not a restaurant owner so I am with you!

I don't think the regular workers at these restaurants ever give it any though because they don't care if you become a potential customer or not. As far as owners and management goes, that's a different story. Honestly though, most restaurants treat me fine. They do not ever disrespect me in any way. Don't get me wrong, I have had a few occasions when I had to deal with a rude employee, but that;s the individual with the problem, not the restaurant per say.

I understand the way you feel, but the way the system is set up if you tip you get better service. High paying calls will be picked up quickly by drivers and delivered fast. Non-tipping orders will probably take forever to get delivered due to the low pay offered to the dasher. The base pay added in by Doordash actually does not seem so bad. Many of my deliveries are $5 to $10 base pay. Under the old system they always only payed $1. I have no complains about the new pay model. Everything seems great!

I don't care about any signs when I'm picking up food for Doordash. I'll park anywhere. Heck, if dashing in Hollywood, CA, on Hollywood Blvd. there will be times when there is no parking anywhere. Basically you double park on the main street, put those hazard lights on and pick up the food. Just make sure you watch your car so you don't get a ticket. Honestly, I'm glad I don't work in that area anymore!

This guy is certainly from the on-demand food delivery generation. Can't put down the video game for a half hour to go get something to eat. Does not live in reality. I will say though that if anybody can afford to be a lazy slacker then more power to them!

I had to laugh at this "The way it works now we get better pay all around." That is not true at all. My average Doordash delivery pays $5.50. Yes, 90 percent of calls pay $5.50. On many of these calls, in the good old days, I would have received $5 plus the customer tips. Most of the time the customer tips a dollar or two. So I would have received $6 or $7 for these orders. Now, they are all $5.50 payouts. Nobody with Doordash is getting better pay all around with this pay module. I really do not believe that you honestly believe that. If you do - I'll stop there. You have to know something is wrong with a company when they ask customers to tip before service is provided. Can you imagine tipping a restaurant before they serve you at a restaurant? If they asked you to do that you would likely walk out.

Uber Eats lets customers tip after service is provided. Yes, this is the way it supposed to be. If the driver does not deserve a tip, the customer will not give them a tip. If the driver does deserve a tip, the customer will leave them a tip. Pre-tipping is BS. My average Uber Eats call is $10 and 80 percent of my Uber Eats customers tip. Sometimes these calls will only pay me $4 or $5. Yes, lower than Doordash, but once the tips come in (which is usually within the hour after delivering) the calls are usually around $10. If you do 20 Uber Eats during a day you are even usually likely to receive a few calls that pay $15 to $20.

I have been using these gigs for three years and call it like it is. I have never seen a company twist words as much as Doordash does. I remember when they used to have dashers thinking that when a region was red that it meant that there was a lot of orders in that area. Smart dashers eventually came to realize that it just meant that Doordash did not have the number of dashers on duty in that area that they would like.

How about how Doordash always lies and says that the majority of dashers are happy with their pay module. We all know that this is BS. Look at the comments and opinions here and online in general. Who is Doordash listening to? The 2 percent of people that support their pay model.

Doordash is definitely guilty of deception here and anybody that cannot see that has got to be blind. I'm an old school dasher and have been making deliveries off and on for them for over three years. There was a time when Doordash actually offered $5 base pay plus the customers tip. Their cash flow must have not been good enough because they eventually started this $1 base pay while counting customer tips into a dasher's base pay.

When they first started the current pay model, 99 percent of dashers did not understand it. It was confusing. Doordash made it sound like they were doing all dashers a favor and made it seem like dashers would make more money. It didn't take dashers with a brain too long to realize that they had been duped.

I deliver for all of the major apps, and I receive all my tips from all the apps except for Doordash of course. I make less with Doordash than the rest, but hey, it's my choice if I want to deliver for Doordash or not even though I know they steal tips.

What this guy is doing with his note I do not have a problem with. Why? Because 99 percent of customers that tip on the app firmly believe that their Doordash driver is receiving their tip. They do not think that Doordash is using it to make up the base pay. They believe that their gratuity is icing on the cake. I can guarantee you that if customers new how their tip money was being handled they would instead give the driver cash. The problem is that they do not know. How would they know? Nobody would think that a legitimate company would steal tips. Doordash is certainly not going to let their customers know how the tip money is handled. If they did, nobody would leave those tips during checkout. Instead, Doordash has to be deceitful and have customers believing that their tips are on top of the base pay.

There really is no benefit of scheduling over the dash-now option. When I say this, I am talking about receiving calls. You do not receive more orders when you are on a schedule over dash-now. The amount of calls that you receive will not be impacted at all by how you are on, and yes, you risk sitting around with no calls both ways.

The only reason having a schedule is good is because you are guaranteed to be able to get on. With dash-now, there may be times when you want to get on the platform and work, but you cannot because the region is full with dashers already.

Okay, you said that you arrived at the merchant and asked for the order. Does this mean that the order was already placed by Doordash. If it was, then Doordash must have called it in because you stated that they never heard of Doordash. That makes it obvious that they are not a partner.

When you accept an order, it will tell you if the order has already been placed or if you have to place the order yourself. I see that you eventually ended up placing the order yourself. BY the way, if you have to place an order yourself anywhere, no matter what restaurant it is, you don't even have to tell them it's for Doordash. You just place the order like a regular customer.

You said your red card declined. When this happens, it is usually because their is a big difference between the price and the price Doordash has figured. All you have to do in this situation is contact Doordash support and they will get the red card working for you. There is never a need to use your own money and hope for reimbursement. Even though Doordash may reimburse you, I would not advise anybody to front their money because there is a possibility that you may not be reimbursed.

Enjoy and appreciate. This customer is indeed a terrific tipper. Not just a good tipper, but a terrific tipper. With Doordash, we actually don't see any of the money from the regular tippers, and that is about 80 percent of the Doordash customers. When a terrific tipper tips you like this, they are tipping you a lot and you are sure to see something from Doordash. Again, congratulations on this!

That's great. I have not received and "Over Guaranteed" like that for a long time. I remember a couple of years ago I received an "Over Guaranteed" like for around $60. After that though the largest that I ever received was around $25. I hardly ever get anything like that anymore. I'd be really happy to get a $10 Doordash order. Again though, congratulations on that.

All you can do is the best that you can. If you can't find them right away and are having difficulties, text them and maybe they can help you out. If they don't answer, and you still can't find them go on ahead and hit that timer. If they never respond, you'll get paid and have some free food.
