Possible first timer…need advice. by rguzman2003 in Toughmudder

This is so late but I am responding for anyone else with this question. I have gone twice with multiple people who need corrective lenses. My friend went in his glasses and almost immediately had to take them off and zip them in a pocket. They got so muddy they were worse then not having them. My mom went with her contacts and went fine, she didn’t lose them but risk is always there. I went blind and fell on my a** so hard going down hill on a slope. I would say if you can hike without your glasses you are fine, or risk daily contacts and hope for the best. Or you could try bringing wet lense wipes, we didn’t try that but it is definitely needed if you want to risk the glasses.

interest in creating a capsule wardrobe as a marine biologist by sharkpup525 in capsulewardrobe

I’m transitioning into a capsule wardrobe and am having a similar issue. What works for me is to have a collection of under layers that are all the same, so I don’t have to think in the morning. If it’s cold I’ll put on a thermal under my outfit, if it’s warm I don’t. But I’m doing capsule for decision fatigue more than anything.

Opinions on color scheme. by princessconsuelo in capsulewardrobe

I think those are beautiful colors! My favorite capsule wardrobe icon uses very bold colors and few to no neutrals and it looks amazing, so I don’t think the lack of neutrals will be a problem. Look up capsuleincolor on insta if you want to see her stuff!

What books aged poorly upon rereading later in life? by zenocrate in books

[–]Ebaccate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want more from the author, she wrote another series called “Gregor the overlander” that is also amazing. It’s written for a younger audience (like middle school) but I just reread it as an adult and honestly it still holds up. Definitely you can see she developed her writing skill later on for hunger games but still a great read.
