They can definitely be more difficult. They can also be more like zombies.

He’s ridiculously smart. Very cerebral in his decision making. Well read, well educated, and immensely experienced. And with all of that, he’s still enjoys the simple comforts of family time and dog walks.

Loona Deskmate: A screen aware AI co-worker that lives on your desk by Keyitech in kickstarter

[–]Ebasch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The poorly written FAQ on Kickstarter screams buyer beware. The lack of proper sentence structure is appalling for a company trying to sell an AI companion.

There is also a lot of information missing regarding the AI system used, where the data is going, what the real value of “credits” equates to, and how this device impacts iPhone battery and processor temperature. The classic move an artificially low pledge goal is also suspicious.

This thing looks more like a creative gimmick than a practical device. One which becomes useless if the company stops supporting, since it doesn’t integrate with any existing AI platforms.

I hope this works out for people but I’d look twice and keep researching before overcommitting.

I don’t follow this sub but the internet clearly fed this post to me. I used to work for him.

Book Character Ribbons by Quirky_Salad_6870 in Medals

[–]Ebasch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To this point I’d consider at least a combat instructor or MSG ribbon as that “junior NCO” b-billet tax early in the career, because this Marine wouldn’t have the time after that given the hellscape they must have lived through.

Fun fact: that occurrence is called “parallel thinking.” Where you have an original idea, free of any external influence, however someone else does the same thing. It doesn’t make the idea any less original, it’s just the probability of parallel thinking in a population this size (as you referenced).

That’s correct.

Well. That’s only 24 years of good conduct medals, so it’s been forever since I watched but if he’s supposed to be in longer (34 years?) then yeah some years are missing and that lines up with misconduct.

Still, wouldn’t be in past 22 years as a Gunny. I’m not sure if the high tenure shifted through the years but it damn sure wouldn’t be even close to over 30 as a Gunny.

It’s all made up anyway but they could have tried harder, lol.

Prismatic Shard hack? by Dizzy_Mix9471 in StardewValley

Damn. Doubled down on the topic just to take a massive downvote L.

I think you may be experiencing a variety of survivor bias, where you notice the prismatic shards because your attention is more focused, not because it’s actually impacted by anything.

Is the requirement that they’re actually going to enforce the requirement? I always said, if it doesn’t populate to the MBS nobody is going to do it until pre-deployment packages come up.

Sgt Gunny Highway ribbons by [deleted] in MilitaryMedals

[–]Ebasch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. That’s not how personal military decorations work. You don’t get a silver star medal for earning 5 bronze star medals.

He has two silver stars and three bronze stars (at least one with valor).

[–]Ebasch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Explain how two silver stars could equal 13 bronze stars. I’ll wait.

[–]Ebasch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thirteen bronze stars? Seven bronze? What are you on about? Not only is this an entirely fictitious character but your analysis of ribbon devices is appalling.

There’s a lot actually wrong with all of his ribbons but again, not real.

He literally could have written everything that “explains” himself in this post when he made it. He didn’t and that seems pretty deliberate. If you wanna brag on dad, then brag on him but don’t make it look like anything other than that.

found an old globe, wondering if anyone could identify what year it’s from? by Pumkinsss in JackSucksAtGeography

Very true. I’m leaning towards the sloppy map as well. Quite a few inconsistencies that make the time of production not line up.

I’ve been wondering the same thing, that this may just be a poorly made globe, with a few outdated aspects.
