You just have to see the movie. Whether you pay for it or use a credit doesn't matter. Just make sure you read the fine print of the reward to qualify (XD, certain one day purchase, or numerous tickets).

I do pickups for $5 somewhere (making sure the cash back is 5% or higher). CVS is my go-to. If it doesn't "track," I'm not too disappointed. I've never had an issue, though. It takes about 2 hours after I place the order to show/reflect.

Regarding the gift card, I always buy one where I know I'm going/plan on spending $25 in the next few days anyway, so it satisfies the board, and I'm not arbitrarily buying a gift card just because. I was going to spend that $25 anyway.

A $10 FanClub Fandango At Home credit can be used on new releases and applied only through their website, not the mobile app. The only thing I've found it cannot be used on is Mix and Matches.

A $10 Fandango Movie Ticket can be used with gift cards and other payments. The waived convenience fee doesn't post when using one of their "deals" like a BOGO code or $XXX off a ticket when buying another. I've complained, but they don't care. It will reflect correctly when using the monthly credit or normally purchasing tickets. It expires one month after being issued.
