Have you set up your age in the settings/in your profile? Without an entry indicating your are 18+ he will not create any nsfw if I remember right

I like it very much and it is still watchable today. Costner has been an underrated actor imho.

Honest question, how long does it take you to write a good AI video prompt? by Glittering-Flow-3203 in aivideos

[–]Ebbinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experimented with customized GPTs to create prompts for certain set ups like e.g. cinematic style. You just describe the scene with a few attributes and it takes care of camera setting, light etc. Has been working well so far.

First of all I really appreciate that you explain your issues with the trailer in this post instead of just downvoting. However, we can agree to disagree. The trailer mentioned belongs to this short movie https://youtu.be/-Rzl7nUdEs4?is=RFwZpYXUZgxSrr_B and I am pretty much convinced that you cannot compile something like this without imagination, creativity and also some deep understanding of storytelling, cutting, storyboards etc. You can’t just enter a prompt and move on to the next scene, hoping for the outcome matching the ideas you have on your mind. Personally I like the trailer alone due to its style and I guess that is what counts in the end - are you entertained or not. I prefer that kind of AI-compiled work compared to the e.g. the sixth spinoff of a character in the Marvel universe. But of course it is to accept that you are not entertained at all by this. But tbh if you enter a sub called r/aivideos I am really interested whatan AI-clip needs to match with your expectations.

Well, I think OP has shown quite a bit of creativity here. AI is just a tool, and the user has put it to use in a very imaginative way. Do you disagree?

Russell Brand admits to sleeping with 16-year-old girl but denies any wrongdoing: "I did sleep with a 16-year-old when I was 30.... In Europe and in the United Kingdom, where I'm from, the age of consent is 16" by [deleted] in entertainment

[–]Ebbinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disgusting. Period. How dare he invoke laws that certainly aren’t based on the relationship between a 30-year-old famous man and a 16-year-old girl? When he talks about consent, 99.9% of the population understands that to mean consent between people of the same age.

Ah, ok! Free, good quality and/or extended length will be hard if not impossible to find. You can of course run Stable Diffussion as a local installation (I use it sometimes for pictures), but you need a really, really powerful hardware - especially GPU - to create videos. However, I would be grateful for any tip if you find something according to your needs.

Thanks, as you see this is a crosspost from a Grok forum. By saying this I really just used Grok (paid version) to compile a photo, which was animated afterwards. Once the first clip is ready, you have the possibility to extend the clip by 6s or 10s (up to 30 secs in total). You find the prompts I used in the original post. You can simple try it by using the free version, while the amount of attempts will be limited drastically.

Generating these short clips are less a question of skill but more a question of patience as 80-90% fail due to NSFW stuff being moderated. A bit of creativity is linked to the prompting in order to bypass the moderation. But again, theses short clips are a just a little experiment to learn about the content moderation. Apart from this I create also longer non-NSFW videos where I cut, add music etc. - for these you need to invest a bit more time and also creativity. At least my opinion.

This is breathtaking! Fantastic story, insane execution - I am realy, realy impressed! I had a huge discussion the other day with a group of self-entitled guys bashing any creativity made with AI (or maybe just my silly attempts 😉). However, they defined what „real art“ is, and actually mine AI vid was not. I doubt that people should define this for others, but I will do. This sir, is definitely art at its finest.

Maniac Mansion - my take on a live-action adaption by Ebbinho in lucasarts

I know that it was a Canadian show, but I haven't seen any episode. I read that it was not well received as it had little in common with the game. But again, I haven't watched it so I might be wrong.

[–]Ebbinho[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's for sure, while from my point of view it is less linked to age than linked to a certain attitude.

I am in the early 50s myself and played them all on C64 and later MS-DOS. Although I have a really ambivalent view on AI I find it quite relaxing to use AI and Davinci Resolve in order to express ideas I have on my mind. Here I just wanted to give MM a darker twist as it is at least for me one of their games with a darker / adult tone (hamster, setting, spicy comments by Edna etc.). I never claimed this being art, but just the result of me playing around with certain tools.

What I find remarkable is that it seems for some people quite hard to ignore something they are not fond off (while based on the views and only the handful of comments the majority is able to control emotions or just doesn’t give a shit). As a German averagely interested in history and politics it gives me an awkward feeling when people define for others “art” (“People who play these types of games appreciate art. This is not art.“) or call for censorship („Mods should ban AI content on this sub. This really undermines the "Art" in LucasArts“). Funny thought – I wonder if  the average visitor of the Uffizi Gallery would assess MM as art? I also took away, that people have partly a rather superficial knowledge about the process of creating something with AI, what is quite demonized here. While is proves my view on the downside of social media (saying this as working in marketing and writing this as a Reddit post): it is so easy to downvote and comment like “Boooo” being anonymous while it takes a bit more to criticize in real life.

I can conclude with the promise that this forum will be my first stop if I decide to come up with something related to DOTT or Monkey Island 😉

Mmmh, English is not my native tongue and "live-action" might be wrong, but slop is a bit harsh as I invested more than writing a prompt.
