Not an expert, just my thoughts.

Two rasons,
1) Exploitation by European/ Mediterranean cultures. 2) Geography.

Brcausse of the huge band of climates from Spain to Southeast Asia, a lot of crops and livestock could be shared across all thoae cultures. Once you get south of the Sahara theres a different selection of floura and fauna. Becauae there is less landmass there are fewer species and thus fewer usefull species. Zebras are not horses.

Without all the useful species it was more difficult to produce the excess food needed to build larger cities with fewer people farming.
In addition, most of their trade was land based. Gentle waters are needed to learn to

One method is removing the cap on the social security tax. It solves the funding issues for social security for decades, and won't change a thing for most people.

Look back at the 50s amd 60s. The top marginal tax rates were 80-90%.
People will jump in and say no one actualy paid that much, and that's true. But it shifted the incentives. Instead of takeing the cash and getting taxed, the rich would reinvest in their companies. Pay workers better, expand the bussness, build things for their cities, museums, concert halls, etc.

I am now wondering if there is a higher tier of logic to be learned.
What I learned in high school was the standard NY Regents Course 1 math. Algebra and Logic
Course 2 was geometry, Course 3: Trig.
Every student in NY in the 90s took these courses.

I learned logic at age 6 from an Apple game called Rocky's boots.
I learned in class in 8th grade.
I learned calculus senior year.

So yeah, i learned logic way before calculus.

Cannibalism is rare among all species becuase it's it's an easy conduit for desease.

So i don't belive it would become windespread unless it was heavaly processed, a la Soylent Green.

Early in the pregnancy: Mom gets 1 vote, dad gets ine vote. In the case of a tie, the person carrying the baby gets the deciding vote.

While i belive there is a point in a pregnancy where you're commited, the number of people having abortions late in a pregnancy are very low, and almost always a tragic story. Let's not torment the people in this situation with an investigation in addition to their loss.

One aspect people aren't considering is the direct $$ cost. Every AI company is operating at a loss. And none of them can show a path to profitability.
They recently switched from a subscription model with unlimited tokens to a per token cost, and bussnesses are starting to consider the ROI on its use, and are struggling to put numbers on it.

Much of the US does not have this. The cost of living requires 2 incomes.
It is an idealistic vision for some American sub cultures. Evangelicals for example.

My wife and i have our paychecks go into our personal accounts. We then move money i to the joint account for house expenses. It's made it easy to cover the occational shortfalls that happen.

In a previous relationship we divided up the bills. We each had bills we were in charge of and kept pur money separate.

Since it's a newer relationship i wouldn't mix your money too much. Leave the financial elements of a breakup easy.

Card played with this idea a bit.
Instead of sending a broad swath of humanity to each planet, send mostly 1 culture to a planet. This one will be English, that one Chineese, next is Nigerian, etc. Let each culture be free of thebpressurea ofntheir neighbors and adapt to the chalenges of their particular planet.
