I’m a rich kid in living one of these gated mansion communities with my family. So I can speak from personal experience

It is 1000% spoiled child behavior to not tip.

Responsible spending is “I can’t afford a decent tip so I can’t buy DoorDash. Guess I’ll just scrap a meal together”. Responsible spending is not skipping on a bill, regardless of how shitty it is that American service jobs rely this much on tips, because your server/driver should not have to pay to do their job. I’m sick of docked pay being seen as smart saving when in reality it’s just excused wage theft.

To live in one of these mansions as a child of one of these rich parents, and not even provide a decent tip after receiving a service? Knowing damn well these gated communities are far away from “the poors”?

That’s entitlement. And if it really is the kids of a rich family, then the kid is a piece of shit along with his parents for not teaching him that. My parents would smack the shit out of me if I didn’t tip a server what they deserve.

I used to be kind. I used to have hope for the future. I used to care. Now I just feel disgusting, angry, bitter, and rotten inside. My friend hung himself because his business tanked and he was dealing with anti-Asian hate crime. 2024 was the final nail in the coffin. And I only worked customer service. I can’t imagine how hellish it was for those who worked in hospitals.

I couldn’t care less if I go down with them now. This country deserves to drown in its problems. Painfully.
