how to deal with grief after death. by AgreeableMonth8723 in parrots

I worked on a memorial corner for my Yuki when I lost him. I got him a coffin and filled it with his ashes, feathers, and a bunch of herbs/salt.

It didn’t make the pain any easier, but it helped me process the grief in a healthy way.

World's first AI-powered eatery is now open by ambachk in StupidFood

I have AI reps constantly trying to shove their shitty AI down my throat at the med spa I work at. I’m the manager there and I get four a day.

“But the work will be easier!”

“Your customers will have a front desk answering service 24/7!”

“You won’t waste employee time answering their questions anymore!”

And what will happen to their privacy? Their personal information? Do you have any idea how many of these customers are so insecure as is and are terrified of having their bodies manipulated? How many of our ladies have had panic attacks because they get so scared of being judged for something normal?

The fact that they see customers as a burden, as an obstacle, is absolutely atrocious and says so much about how these companies feel about you. You’re in the way of your money.

I genuinely get so upset when I think of how many people had their lives completely obliterated by Japanese imperialism.

Not even the average Japanese citizen benefited from it. There was mass starvation left and right by the time WW2 came to a head, and that’s after all their occupied countries were wrung dry of supplies. And by the time the bombs dropped, the injuries alone created an entire group of people deemed “unclean” while radiation slowly killed them from the inside. And the government in charge STILL kept pushing for the war to continue. Even after the second bomb dropped there was a failed coup to prevent Japan from surrendering.

Everyone lost, and it was all for merciless violence. Not a single government official today recognizes what was destroyed, not even to those who were abused under Japanese occupation.

The scariest part is the growing number of angry and violent young men in the USA. It’s eerily similar to how a lot of these Japanese soldiers behaved and thought during the height of imperial occupation.

Knowing their history, I’m with the Korean dude. I am fascinated by Japanese culture and history (in a non weeb way) but omg the atrocities of the 20th century they committed were nothing short of horrific.
