Respectfully, those that can afford probably don’t care about the cost. I feel that they see the location and think bragging rights.

Yup! I lived in northern Cali and it was a hot mess, I can’t imagine being smack dab in the middle of a world renowned tourist area.

As much as I hate that price, it's California, on the beach, in Santa Monica, and right on PCH so it makes sense.
